Tarwa N-Tiniri – Warru (Feat. Thijs Borsten)

”Warru” is the opening track and official album intro to Zaman, the upcoming album by Tarwa N-Tiniri. As the first chapter of the project, the song sets the emotional and musical tone for the journey of the album.
Listen:

Inspired by the Amazigh tradition of southeastern Morocco, Warru symbolizes joy, blessings, and happiness. In wedding rituals, Warru is invoked to bring harmony and a prosperous new beginning for the couple. The song reflects this spirit of celebration and the essence of dawn poetry performed during wedding ceremonies.

Recorded in Ouarzazate, Morocco, this special collaboration with Thijs Borsten blends tradition with a contemporary artistic vision.
