The news media is getting sloppy and or lazy, if one is going to do a new story, at least try to make it as complete as possible so the people understand the gravity of the information.
Trump announced last year that he was going to put in a ballroom and with that announcement he specifically said that the ballroom would cost around $200 million and more importantly, the cost of the ballroom would be covered by Trump himself along with private donors, so the American people did not have to spend a dime in this project. He pretty much ended it by saying, it would be, "His gift to the country".
Now fast forward to today, for some strange reason, it has now gone from a $200 million project, funded by private donations and Trump himself to now a $900 million dollar project to be funded by the American taxpayer.
How does that make sense?
.
He want all this built/renovated well he can pay it out of his own pocket. He made billions in the last months.
No to Trump, just no.
So happy that the white house be cared for and lafay
Trump needs to be impeached, removed, and all his assets and finances must be seized. All the assets and finances of all his immediate and extended family need to also be seized.
Pro‑Trump (“MAGA”) economic commentators are suddenly acknowledging a major problem with President Trump’s federal budget: the deficit has exploded to its highest level in more than five years, driven by surging federal spending and falling revenue.
Key points they highlight
In July, the government collected $334 billion but spent $766 billion, creating a $432 billion deficit in a single month.
Analysts note that 56% of all federal spending that month was borrowed.
The year‑to‑date deficit is already $23 billion higher than the entire previous fiscal year.
Interest payments on the national debt hit $118 billion in July, equal to 63% of all income tax revenue collected that month.
Why the deficit is ballooning
Bloomberg reports the shortfall is driven by:
Accelerated federal spending, especially Medicare.
A $33 billion loss from refunds tied to Trump’s illegal tariffs.
Lower overall revenue, down about $12 billion after adjustments.
Trump policies contributing to the deficit
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is projected to add $4.6 trillion over 10 years, largely due to tax cuts benefiting the wealthy.
The Iran war has cost $37.5 billion so far, with another $70 billion requested.
Military spending is rising: 3% in May, 5% in June, and 6% year‑to‑date.
Broader economic effects of the conflict—energy prices, inflation, borrowing costs—push the total taxpayer burden to $130–150 billion.
Overall takeaway
Even analysts who supported Trump are now publicly acknowledging that his policies—tax cuts, tariff refunds, Medicare spending, and war costs—have driven the deficit sharply upward, creating what they describe as a “big problem” for the federal budget.
It doesn't matter who is paying for …. as long as it's history and greatest president of the United States of America.

The National Guard is paid for their services year round,no matter if in DC or wherever.Yes they are paid more on active duty, but they're by all accounts keeping DC safe, reduced crime massively, and after all remember DC is under a Federal City Rule the President controls.
DC isn't a free willing typical city, it's created purpose is ran just that way. by the federal government officials.

Can we just get some health care and shore up social security?
I would much rather see this instead of paying for hotels for illegals, or USAID.
Trump keeps saying the ballroom (bunker) project is under budget. Well, the cost keeps going up, and he has to ask Congress for more money because he doesn't have enough money earmarked to cover the cost. You know another word for earmarked money? A budget. And he's OVER it, baby!
Tax payer money is being used to keep the politicians Drunk and they get put on designer Dresses and over priced clothing and get tax right off for that and getting Drunk before the middle of the night Voting Drunken Politicians Do. Just the Truth
Conman in Chief. quid pro quo. No bid government contract (taxpayers money) for “donors.”
In 2017, Trump and Republicans passed the so-called Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), a historically bad bill which increased the deficit by $1.9 trillion. That bill gave massive handouts to the ultra-rich, but the Big Ugly Law makes the 2017 tax breaks for the richest few look small by comparison, while exploding the deficit by more than twice as much.
MS (bs) are liers. Trump billionaire friends are footing the construction bill. This channel is propaganda.
The GOP TCJA (tax cuts and jobs act) transferred a total of $36.9 billion dollars to people making over $1 million a year in just the first year after the bill was enacted. The new bill will more than double that number, giving people making over $1 million a year $114 billion in tax cuts for 2027 alone.
