もう30年くらい前だけど、公衆電話で000-0000に電話かけたら幽霊に繋がるって噂がうちの小学校で広がってたなあ😂
実際にやったらコールなしで電話つながって、海のさざなみみたいな音がずーっとしてて、切ったら折り返しその公衆電話に電話がかかってきてマジでビビった記憶がある。
今考えると何かの試験番号だったんだろうなー
I feel like this is thematically similar to Passengers – something fake becoming something real. In Passengers the fake story the taxi driver told ended up with him and the director finding something actually supernatural and I feel like here too everything might have started as something simple as a harassment campaign. Getting people about to kill themselves call some random woman's number sounds like a very nasty way of harassing people, but as it gets linked to ghost stories, something darker starts to form. Perhaps it was an attempt to curse the woman? Wouldn't be the first time in these someone is trying to curse someone else. I'm unsure if the ghosts (?) at the house in the mountains were linked at all, everything else about the case was so heavily linked to phones and audio so it could even be that they were technically unrelated, but their presence as part of the story ended up mutating the phone number into something worse than what it was originally intended as.
The primary event that feels like "something fake turning into something real" is the repeated "hello" in the clip about the girls, something that was explicitly just a bunch of actors doing a dramatization of the phone number-story and even so the director at the end starts repeating it just like one of the girls. Like always with Q, there's a lot of questions and vague hints, but rarely any solid answers.

オチ唸っちゃったよ
貞子の番号と言われた物や宇宙パワーと言われる番号があった。私はなぜかそれらが好きでよくかけていたが貞子の番号では履歴からかけてるのに一度女性が出たことがあった。普段は変な音だけなのに。個人的には宇宙パワーが好きだった。おっさんが途中で継ぎと気合のため「はぁ！」って言うのが好きだった。あとは普通にリカちゃん電話も有名だったっけ。
インフェルノから見て、他のも全て見ました。本もかいましたー。今1番すきなチャンネルです。

死ぬ直前の声を聴きたい人があの電話番号の初代の取得者なんだろうな。そして村上監督の作品に出てくる幽霊と話せる電話番号というのは、そこにかけると話せるのではなくて、幽霊からかかってくるという意味だったということ。その筋だと村上監督の作品内でも矛盾がないことから村上監督は最初からそのつもりで幽霊と話せると謳った気がする。そして、初代と現在の電話番号の持ち主は村上さんで、今回のドキュメンタリーはチラシだけじゃ数件しかかかってこないからネット上で広めるためのものだったりして
