I tested nine popular travel mugs side by side, including Zojirushi, Contigo, Owala, Stanley, YETI, Fellow, Thermos, Hydro Flask, and Simple Modern, to see which one actually performs best. I ran hot and cold insulation tests, leak tests, drop tests, and flow tests to reveal the clear winner.

That’s not the full story though!! If you like these for premium coffee, it needs to breath and the “ extreme” performers ruin the taste of a good quality coffee by being to sealed.
Bro you are efficient!
My girlfriend prefers my hydroflask because it keeps your drink hot but not for too long. So by the time she sits down at work her coffee is the right temperature.
Goat of reviews
My fellow Carter mug is amazing for my coffee. The lid can be a little hard to open if you carry very hot beverages, but for my pour over coffee it works perfectly. It also is the first travel mug I own that doesn't leak. It's also super easy to clean. Can definitely recommend the fellow Carter 🙂
Now test out the ceramic lined ones.
I followed you with swiftness, love your work
Obviously it’s Japanese. American brands just want to create landfill, sell you a new fad color, overcharge you at REI, and just create consumerism.
Would have loved to see how Klean Kanteen compared
love my zojirushi
Fellow is trash. Looks nice though.
wrong yeti for that test tbh…
Doesn’t recommend Fellow because he doesn’t know how to take off the lid 😂. As a person with multiple Fellow mugs. I can tell you. You turn it.
We've used Contigo West Loop AutoSeal mugs for many, many years, and really love them for all the reasons Andrew @PrudentReviews outlines. I would just say that even within that kind of mug, there are a few different LID styles that make all the difference if you are using them for hot beverages: look for one that has the drinking spout slightly recessed in the lid rather than right at the lip of the tumbler. This allows you to feel if the drink is too hot before you scald your lips/mouth. The old style lid (that Contigo no longer makes) was best – this had a small round opening and a small slope to the rim of the top. There are a few newer ones that are still recessed, just not as much. Would definitely avoid the opening right at the rim for use with hot drinks. Otherwise, this brand is great, and Costco occasionally has them in for sale in a set of two at a great price.
I drink my liquids to fast to bother if they keep them hot or cold for a hours. Whats important to me is how fast I can thoroughly wash it. Its usually the lids the will keep me from purchasing a new bottle.
If it has too may crevices
NO
If it has a gasket i cant remove with a random fork
NO
If the spout cant be taken apart for cleaning
NO
Not the hero we deserve, but the hero we need.
I've been using a Fellow the past five years without a problem, drinking coffee, wine and beer of it
~~We've been using Zojirushi's for years and we're still using the same travel thermos/mugs, I have 2 small one's we use for coffee and 1 large one for the 2nd pot of coffee and I have a different colored large one I use only for teas.
I love these travel mugs❣ Now they're more expensive than when I first purchased mine. I'm so glad I bought them when I did. The only downside is you can't purchase replacement gaskets & drinking spouts. They get dark after a time from the hot coffee and these will wear out in time, a long time though. 😊
When these wear out, I'll purchase more, they're that good. I've given them as gifts 🎁 ❣
I love your channel, you do a remarkable service and we're very grateful, you save us all a lot of grief, time, and $$$ 🙆♀️❣
I want to buy something solid, based exactly on how you reviewed it, leak test, how long it keeps temp, etc, zojirushi is something I am looking at now. Thank you for the review.
