I mean this is basically canon "how Draco started 6th year before he realised that he had been tasked with killing the most powerful wizard ever and was a. not technically capable enough to execute it unless Dumbledore actually let him. b. possibly not emotionally capable of doing it. c. facing the possible murders of himself and his family by Voldemort if he couldn't do it." I kind of wish I hadn't read the books when I was 7 – I was absolutely not capable of appreciating how traumatic that actually was.
