It's AIR craft not EAR craft
I saw a P61 in the srpring of 1971 at Da Nang. I thought it was a U-2, until I saw the twin tail. Painted black. I was in the 366th fighter wing AMS squadron and one of the squadrons was the 421st tfs "the Black Widows.
Thank you for producing this video! The P-61 has been one of my favorite aircraft ever since I first saw "Moonlight Serenade" at the Wright Patt Air Force Museum back in the '70's! Not sure why, but I just love this aircraft. I even have a copy of the Pilot's Manual, because, well… you never know, right?! 😆 I have a couple of pictures of it, but it's hard to photograph due to it's black paint.
Our local airport in Reading PA has a restored one.

One of the best "history" reports. The filming was well above the normal. Narration and video were well matched and meaningful.
The recreated Black Widow silhouette for this video is totally wrong. It has a Twin Tail boom like the P-38 lighting but with radial engines equipped on a B-25 Mitchel Bomber. This silhouette in the video has tail of Mitchell or Liberator Bomber.
The Dorsal Turret had four 50cal Machine Guns facing forward like the remote turrets of a B-29
Well done video with a great information! You need, however, find a better AI voice for the narration of the video. The slow constant tempo of the voice detracts from the overall qualities of the video. With that said, this is still a great video. A-
I don't like looking at the narrators face. Its unnecessary and distracting.

PVP is hard to balance in any MMO that is both PVP and PVE. I don't have a solution. What I can say in my experience of gaming though, when given the option of PVP server and PVE server, the PVP server will usually be dead and the PVE server thriving.
Why? Because hard core PVP players attack just because they see another player… No other reason. Just, "Look, a human player, must attack."
I do agree I play PVP servers for the risk even though I prefer PVE 99% of the time… It just gets stale without the unknown risk.
Naval Action as an example .. Always played PVP because the PVE server was boring even though I'd get annoyed and frustrated when I'd get attacked in PVP… However, in Naval Action .. You could only be attacked by players not in your nation, so you at least knew their was a high probability you would be attacked and for actual reasons….Not just… "Look, a human player, must attack."

It is wild how the U.S. was the U.K. additional R&D team and how involved we were. I wonder how an anti war citizen would have responded. I mean this shows America in reality was chomping at the big and definitely gives a little credence to the conspiracy that Roosevelt knew earlier about Pearl Harbor. WW2 is such an balancing act of emotions. Because we NEEDED to join. If we didn't, our industry would have retooled too late and the Axis would have overwhelmed us. And it would be much different today.

My father was a crew chief on a P61 with the 421st Night Fighter squadron in the Philippines and Luzon. A story of his I remember was Charles Lindburg flying his P61. The story is documented in Jeff Kolln's book, The 421st Night Fighters in WWII by his pilot.
They should have aimed at the Zero first then the Jap Bomber would have been easy.
The Mosquito was an awesome plane in it's own right.
My late father served in England and Belgium as a radar repair technician, initially working on ground-based radar systems. Later, he maintained the then-new airborne radars on the P-61 Black Widows. He's been gone a good many years now and I regret that I didn't ask him more question about his involvement in this little-known but important effort. Thanks for this video and hopefully more people will appreciate the contribution of these brave souls.
The P-61s were like snipers in the larger wars – their absolute number of kills are not large in absolute numbers but their effect is much, much greater. Thanks for this video because I've wondered about this aircraft, and its crew members, and can now appreciate the contributions.
