There’s really only one factor that destroyed San Fran: Decades of democrat “leadership,” voted in by the local and state electorates.
This is the product of the state of California voting democrat for so many years. If anything CA should be the poster child of how not to vote!. With Newsom potentially running for the white house, I hope the republicans shove this in the eye of the American people come election time.

I grew up 30 miles south of San Francisco. Occasionally, I'd drive into the City. It's a beautiful city, but I never felt safe in San Francisco. There's a malaise about the place. An evil covers that place.

I visited last year and it was a warzone. Driving through some areas in an uber, there were tents all set up on the sidewalks. How does someone even walk on the sidewalk to get places? And imagine how dangerous for a young woman. I saw multiple homeless people yelling, one at an ATM near the famous trolly boarding. Getting a late night dinner was challenging as the city locks down like a prison at 7p, with bars on windows and doors. Even during the day basic items in stores like shampoo are all locked behind cases. One restaurant I went to said on the menu they were not liable for cars broken into or items stolen with in all caps "THIS IS SAN FRANCISCO". I think once it was probably a very beautiful place like a lot of California. But it got taken over by corrupt leaders and loonies. They should not be letting people set up tents on the sidewalks that is a no brainer. If they truly cared about the homeless than make a hostel or camp with fresh water and food. Living on the streets is not what they need.

I used to love going into "the city" back in the 80's and 90's…not any more!!! Even played and did music events there and it was gr8! Again, not any more!!! That's what the so called democrats and "progressives" deem as good and wholesome…That's another reason I'm planning to leave my state of birth. So sad, this state is beautiful, but the democraps have destroyed it and I can no longer be a part of this insanity. And yes, I'm a Constitutionist and staunch Conservative. We used to co-exist very nicely, but no longer. Everything is turned into a battle these days.
