So, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 ruined every phone for me, and I discovered this since I’m reviewing the iPhone 18 Pro Max currently, and had to put it down. There’s so much the Fold 8 does that I’ve talked about, and I thought getting these “pro” features from the iPhone would leave me feeling like I’m missing something, but I was wrong. I want to go back to the Z Fold 8 immediately.

I was 100% Pixel fan boy had almost all of their phones… I avoided Samsung for years even though I knew the S24 and S25 and their folds were good devices.. But when Google dumped the passport size Fold for a slab sized fold. I gave up waiting for them to remedy this mistake. But what a great device. The OS, the battery, the camera are all perfect for me. I'll stick with this happily now for a couple of years at least.
My honest impression, it's alright. Form factor is novel but not a game changer. I had a vivo fold pro 3 which I had some battery issues on hence looking to upgrade. But I find myself constantly going back to the vivo for general browsing and watching things. The interface and speed just seems better and everything just seems better optimised for the form factor. Instagram is a nightmare on this phone. If I could do it again I probably wouldn't have gotten this phone and gone for the ultra or maybe the new vivo fold.

My worry is dust protection. We go 4wheeling every few months and the dust is unreal at times. I had a fold 3 or 4 I can't remember, but that exactly what happened… Dust got into the fold screen. I wonder if they're anymore dust resistant now, or if the cases are any better. I've always been a Magbak fan for cases.
funny how people are complaining about small camera cutout on the inside when Apple has that massive dynamic island all this time. + wait until you use that nano-texture finish display under the sun.
Where i live, Duo is priced +$1100 more expensive. I guess Samsung wins big time considering that extreme price difference.
I want this one and I have been using an apple for awhile now. When it comes to many customers they will buy anything (like the 2k duo) as long as that logo is on the back. Thank you for the review!

Left IPhone for the Z Fold 8 and love it. Not going back.
After using the Fold8, I’ve realized that the weight bothers me more than anything else. At first, I looked for a phone grip with the best features, but I ended up sticking with the lightest, thinnest one.
The Duo looked so good that I actually thought, “Wow, should I sell my Fold and switch to the Duo?” But then I thought about the weight. The Duo without a case weighs about as much as my Fold8 with the grip I took off because it was too heavy;;; Add a case and a grip to the Duo on top of that? Holy crap;;; 🐢
Fold 8 in its folding state honestly felt like one of the cutest phone i have ever held. hard to express that feeling. gaming on that screen felt so good. its ergonomic are very similar to xbox controller.
if i could i want nothing on this phone except the fomfactor and ergonomics. camera i dont care, screen is excellent, its the candy bar style.
The comparisons to the iPhone Duo are all kind of arbitrary at the moment as until it releases and gets into use, we have absolutely no idea how it will perform.
My fold 8 dies semi fast, it's the only fix I want. I love it so much tho!

I disagree screen wise, fold is better in my opinion. The matte finish on the duo makes games and content look pale and colours just don’t stand out as much
I’m so tempted to get a Fold 8. I have a 18 Pro as my daily driver. Kinda stuck on the Apple ecosystem but I’m really thinking about running a Fold 8 in conjunction with my 18 Pro.

Already sold my fold 8 for the duo. pen support and app compatibility drove me to jump ship. We will see if I like it. Using my S24 ultra 🐐 currently until my Duo arrives. I’ll try yo get the 512 gb version. Whatever is available
