  1. Excellent, not a fan of Trump, but my kid born in the US with BS in computer science has been looking for work for months with now success. His Indian born school mates get all the jobs with H1-B visa

  2. The abuse of the program has been going on since the beginning. What the so called "expert" failed to mention about it is that it was ONLY meant for unique skilled work that did NOT have an American available to do it. Like for example, if you had a shortage of workers to do highly specific skilled job X, you could use this program get those workers from outside the country. In reality, tech workers have been forced to train their H1B replacements for at least the last 20 years. That's NOT filling a shortage of workers. That's avoiding using American workers because the ones brought in on the H1B visa work for a lot less than the American worker and is still a big cost saving to the company after all the sponsorship and red tape they have to go through.

JD Vance spelled with out, and they even mentioned it in this report, but they did NOT address it. They just side stepped it. That's not journalism. It's following a narrative so they don't anger the big tech companies they live with in that area.

  3. My son in law has a BCS and has not been able to find employment and he has many friends in this same situation. They have been applying for jobs and being told they don’t need them.
He is now working towards his masters! Americans need to be employed from these American companies. We need to be insuring the next generation has a future! We don’t owe this foreign workers anything here.

  4. they can be brought it but shouldn’t be naturalized and shouldn’t have access to social security. its actually not a bad idea for the world to move to America, they sell their properties back home and move and become expats instead of immigrants.

  5. 1. H1Bs contribute to the economy? No. H1Bs invest in India. India received hundreds of billions last year. That was money that should have stayed local.
    2. We fall behind in innovation without H1Bs? No. India, despite 1.6 billion people, innovated nothing. Their innovation can be counted on one hand.
    3. H1Bs are half the problem. Big tech companies don't hire new grads, they transfer L1s straight from their India office.

  6. There should be a cap on the number of skilled H1B visa acceptances.. Only talented foreign workers with special, sophisticated knowledge should get hired.. but currently a lot of average (and in some cases dumb) workers get hired under the H1B program because they are willing to work for less..

  7. Trump is pushing lots of jobs to offshore. Like banana republic he is trying to make india as software republic or data center republic 😀 This won’t help American job market

  8. If JDV , Mr Trump , Elon musk Sundar , Nadela and all companies ceo do their lawns themselves, then they know how hard it is. Same with technology and technical skills. Not lot americas interested to do this work. Americans just want to manage people. This politicians dont understand corporations requirements. It is all just politics
