The front camera might not work because it's cryptographically paired to the motherboard. If you swapped over the 16e front camera too, it might work perfectly
the camera doesnt work because you must do the finish "display" repair in the settings and then it will work (i think)

I mean, there was also the iPhone 6, 8, 7, SE2 and SE3 with the same body. I don't know about internals however, especially for 7 and 6 but 8 onwards is the the same phone with diff chip and battery (and a worse screen rip 3d touch)
