2 things. We need to not excuse this man's behavior or comments. He is dangerous and needs to be treated as such. Congress and the VP need to evoke the 25th amendment ASAP. This is inexcusable to all of us. Enough is enough. But having the current VP in charge is not a viable option either.
2nd point. Is it just me or you noticing the political adds are not identifying what party these people are running with. This should be mandatory. I will be voting blue across the board and most likely for any new candidates in the democratic party rather than the current ones in office. I am tired of all of them!

The Reconstruction Finance Corp was counterproductive as welfare to the wealthy. Herbert Hoover was simply a 19th century man and totally outdated in an industrial economy.

Honesty compels me…Herbert Hoover has gotten a bit of a bad rap in some ways – he was a really impressive person with a lot of experience as a successful mining engineer and saved a lot of lives in Europe and Russia with the relief organizations he ran. He was a very intelligent guy who got slammed by a set of circumstances for which he had not intellectual framework within which to respond productively; that certainly doesn't mean he didn't care, just that he didn't know what to do. (In this he is fundamentally different from Trump, who as far as I can see fundamentally does not care at all about the suffering of ANYONE other than himself.)
All that said, I will also make a separate point – FDR and the Democrats won in an immense landslide that was the beginning of decades of Democratic control of Federal Government. BUT the reason they succeeded in that realignment is entirely because they immediately implemented a radical and massive reorganization of the Federal Government that resulted in the creation of the modern Administrative State. If the Democrats win and then do not use that new power to fundamentally realign the function of Federal Government once again with the interests of the average American citizen, they can look forward to losing everything in 2028 – and they will have absolutely no one to blame but themselves.
Thankfully, Iran would never nuke the cities t***p is baiting them to do. However, Iran may be amenable to focusing on a certain location in Florida.
