The euler identity comes from euler formula which is simply wrong because it was derived with a wrong method. Euler used the e^x Taylor series and in it he entered i*θ, an imaginary. But that series was validated to converge only for real numbers. Huge mistake which led to an obviously non converging equation because one side tends to infinity while the other is always finite (sum of trig functions). So, the king is naked!
