This was a awesome movie, please dont take my comments that follow to take away from my overall like of this film. That being said. I just wish they had used real officers as advisers in this film, and many others. so many key details that every dept in the world would use, was missing in the film. Examples. When danny leaves in the ambulance at the end of the film. There is no police escort, in real life, They would have a parade of officers blocking off, all entrances to the highway, at every intersection, at every light, blocking the traffic off, so the ambulance can go as fast as possible. I have seen in real life. Medivac called for a officer who was in pursuit and crashed his state trooper charger, and barrel rolled it. but walked away with hardly any injuries, as such he was flown a hour south to a major trauma unit, and discharged home 2 hours later. but was flown by medivac. Also, swat teams would never allow any civilians out side where they could be seen by a subject. stray bullets are real and they can kill people who dont know that their near a deadly standoff. so why would officers allow people to stand outside of the building where they could watch everything with the naked eye. and finally, no one would be able to listen in to the radios. as the whole operation would be taken off dispatch channel and taken to a special encrypted broadcast. Even radio reference and trunking scanners cant pick up the higher security most major citys use now.
