The little propeller on each Stuka leg is not a generator: it drives a siren, an official noise device (Lärmgerät) whose pitch rises as the dive speeds up, at a cost of up to about fifteen miles per hour of drag.

What was the point thiugh
Choppiest AI narrator ever.
미국 영어사투리는 대단해
"Early planes?" almost all current commercial plane have RAT(Ram Air Turbine) to generate electric and hydralic power in emergencies – for example if the main engine flip out, which allows the crew to run the systems until they can do a restart. That Jericho trumpets were fitted to early JU87s to instil panic is hardly a secret, they were removed around Battle of Britain as they only worked on hapless civilians fleeing villages in the Basque country and in Belgium and France.
AI is extra sloppy here
This video gave me a fucking aneurysm
jets still use the same thing when they lose power.
My mother lived in Liverpool, which was often bombed.
One night I asked her about the sounds the bombs made on the way down. She said that they made various screams that got closer and closer until going boom. I asked her if it was scary. She told me that she actually liked the noisy ones. It was the silent ones that scared her the most.
This was one of the planes used in world war 11
I like the Stuka D-5 Variant, it swapped its 2x 7.92mm machine guns for 2x MG151 20x99mm cannons and was sometimes equipped with a pod under each wing each housing 2x more MG151 for a total of 6x 20mm.
Nah that was a terror device! It struck fear into those who were bewildered with its cry!
Once again, priority for psychological warfare.
Only two left intact in the world. One is in the Chicago museum and I’ve seen it twice
The siren is the trademark of the Stuka.
It was a psychological device of FEAR.
You heard the sirens, you knew what was coming…. Death!
2024: *drone noises
Aka the Tie Fighter
Yeah i wont be suprised if a jericho trumpet sounded in 500 bc and they made a new religion bro😭🙏
Check out the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) fitted to many large commercial and military aircraft.
Jericho Trumpet is just for aura farming😎
My fav plane
Udet wasn't a "stunt pilot turned general". He was a WW1 ace with 62 victories and the receipent of Imperial Germany's highest gallantry award – the Pour le Merite.
I thought the Germans called the sirens "The trumpets of Jericho"
All that and not one accurate sound portrayal of the sound they made in a dive?? That computer generated blender sound doesn't do it justice.
La tecnología mecánica es la mejor😂
I like how the model in the video looks like it's been sitting in a field for 50 years. Or was this how they painted them?
later the sirens remained actually, but could be deactivated by the pilot
Very interesting
StuKa is not a nickname.
It is short für SturzkampfBomber.
Same as english folk would call a Divebomber DiBo
It singlehandedly pisses me off when they use the stuka siren for a different plane
its called the jericho trumpet not noise divice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this raises more questions than it answers…
It will increase the drag and slow you down…
No comrade it must sound scary. 👁👄👁
Trumpets of Jericho
Stuka ist kein Spitzname, sondern eine Abkürzung für Stu(rtz)ka(mpfbomber).
Adeus Thomas Edmund Faraday
the Stuka had an automatic pullout and manual airspeed brakes, but the pilot may blackout visually, So the Jericho Siren tells the pilot by sound his airspeed, so he can pull on the stick and control airbrakes while grey-out blindness.
Gott segne die Stuka
Die stuka
Die stuka
Die stuka ❤
Thanks now I know this also ur vids ar entertaining as he😂🎉❤
But gives civilians a chance to run
Also german fascists hang up killed children on electric posts to show they are the menace to occupied population, even to children. That were germans in ww2
Many stuka pilots despised the jericho trumpet, it was like it was screaming "here I am, shoot me shoot me!"
