In this video, I debate the Tokyo Ghoul manga vs the Choujin X manga by hit author Sui Ishida. To compare both to see who comes out on top as the winner. 9 total categories in a battle of manga.

Who’s Winning Tokyo Ghoul vs Choujin X
source
what do you think of Ishida saying in the latest (Mangamillion, August) interview that choujin x is "by the book"?
I honestly prefer Choujin X, mostly because of the variety of their powers and the lore behind them.
I’m a phenomenal read 😂😂😂
Once Choujin X ends it'll definitely be Ishida's most polished and complete piece of work
Just benefits massively from him being able to work on it whenever he wants at his own pace
the fact hes having this debat with himself proves how good the story telling is between both mangas
im so mad that i caught up on choujin
I know people are gonna glaze choujin X to hell because of the recency bias but TG was changing lives when it was being published lmao.
TG as a whole clears for me and it's not even close. I can not remember the last time I was ever so interested in every single side character in a manga. The character writing was simply insane. Choujin X is a breath of fresh air, I'll give it that. But it doesn't even touch my top 5
The real answer is Jack Jeanne
I think Choujin X’s power system is better than Tokyo Ghouls but maybe that’s just me. Not to say I don’t like TG’s, but I think CX’s is way more unique/interesting and is incorporated into the overall world building way better.
Choujin X has been the thing to keep me going these past few years. I love it to death, and this is coming from someone who's favourite manga is Tokyo Ghoul.
I know for a fact that when eventually Choujin X finishes, it's going to be my favourite
I just discovered your channel and definitely subscribed now. great video man
I just want a tokyo ghoul remake
❤
Why not compare against kaiju no. 9
Choujin X is incredible but Tokyo Ghoul just means so much to me as a story that it will be a long time before another story can take that spot of favourite.
Try to read Rosario to vampire) There are Ghoul, Chainsaw, Fairy tale, end of the world in harem setting in the begining. But in the end… Don't watch anime, it is about panzu and nothing else(
I still prefer TG, but Choujin X is definitely Sui Ishida's "breath of fresh air" given the pressure he had while working on TG. So in all fairness and my bias aside, Choujin X is just better overall.
Thank you Sufferents, very cool!
Hard to say when TG is over and Choujin X probably far from it. For me the nostalgia factor is too strong with tokyo ghoul , it's the first manga I ever read and I have a lot of great memories around it..
Tokyo ghoul baaaby
You said it best. Choujin X feels like ishida improved on everything that TG lacked
Both are good
bro made up an entire category to give choujin a free point.
I feel like Choujin X has way more depth in all aspects than Tokyo Ghoul with the exception that the concept of Tokyo Ghoul is peak but it falls flat in the story and development of major characters half way though
100 times over and over tokyo ghoul.
I thought tokyo ghoul was shorten as tkg (sounds cooler saying too) not tg.
Ken Kaneki changed my LIFE!
Have you read kagurabachi?
Btw new choujin x chapter tomorrow
Choujin X is peak 😅. TG is great but X really shows Ishida progression as a writer
choujin x 100%
glazers assemble
Choujin X surpassed TG at Azuma's dream 🤷
I like Choujin X's aesthetic variety. TG was good at diving into the depths, but Ch.X feels more expansive.
power is not TG
The Tokyo Ghoul anime is for edgelords but the manga is actually a masterpiece. When I tell people that my favourite manga is between Bleach and Tokyo Ghoul, they get confused as to why TG is even a comparison to Bleach, because they think the anime is the same as the manga.
Imagine if Mappa or Studio Pierrot made a new TG that ACTUALLY follows the manga. They'd make so much money. Very disappointed that there's no mention from any studio following the anniversary of the anime.
Hey sufferents, have you checked out twilght blade? Its got two chapters out and i really love how its started
