Stop harping on the White House helipad. Trump does a lot of stupid things, but the helipad is actually something that was needed. Lockheed built a new helicopter for transporting the president, the VH-92. It's been in the works for decades, and has been flyable since 2024. But, the newer, more powerful engines really will scorch the White House lawn if it tries to land there. That's why the Marine Corps still uses the older helicopter when landing at the White House. Now, maybe granite is overkill, but if Lockheed is paying for it, maybe it's a wash. OTOH, if the taxpayers are paying for fancy granite when concrete or asphalt would be sufficient, that's something worth complaining about.

Per available visual evidence there was no rain damage causing a portion of the Kennedy Centers to fall.
1,) There was no water on the floor, on the debris, on the ceiling, or anywhere else.
2) The hole where the fallen roof pieces originated was likewise dry.
3) The size and shape of the hole and debris were not consistent with the alleged event.
4) The volume and intensity of the storm weren't sufficient to cause damage and it wouldn't have been localized as seen.
Congress should bring in an independent examiner to document the event and provide an explanation of probable cause(s).
