I loved reading all the reviews by people who tried this, liked it but almost had heart attacks when they saw the contents of their toilet bowls were bright red! They then felt relieved when they remembered they ate a lot of beetroot!
Islam is a faith rooted in mercy, justice, and sincere invitation. The Quran says, "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best" (Quran 16:125). The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent as a mercy to all worlds (Quran 21:107), exemplifying patience, compassion, and dignity even in the face of hardship and hostility. Unlike some misconceptions, Islam forbids compulsion in religion: “There is no compulsion in religion” (Quran 2:256). The faith respects life, honor, and property, commands justice, forbids oppression, and encourages forgiveness and peace. It calls for respect toward people of all faiths (Quran 60:8-9). While some scriptures in other traditions contain verses about battles and conflicts from historical contexts, Islam teaches that the greater jihad is the struggle within—against injustice, ignorance, and evil—and emphasizes kindness and fairness toward others. The Quran encourages reflection and understanding, acknowledging the previous revealed scriptures but recognizing that over time their texts were altered by human hands. Islam presents the Quran as a final, preserved guidance for humanity, calling all to a direct relationship with God based on submission (Islam literally means “submission”) and conscious faith. The path to truth is illuminated by sincere belief and the testimony: أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأشهد أن محمدًا رسول الله “I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.” This declaration (Shahada) is the key to opening one’s heart to the mercy of Allah and entering the eternal mercy of Paradise. If you seek peace, justice, and a direct connection to the Divine without intermediaries, I encourage you to learn more about Islam’s message of compassion, accountability, and hope. May we all be guided to truth and understanding.

The Abbasid Caliphate ushered in the Golden Age of Islam, founding the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, where scholars preserved and advanced science, medicine, mathematics, and philosophy, welcoming minds of all backgrounds, translating ancient knowledge, and illuminating the world with wisdom, discovery, and intellectual brilliance under the banner of Islam.
The Ottoman Caliphate ruled for centuries with justice and compassion, defending the Holy Cities, protecting all people under its care, offering refuge to the persecuted, upholding Sharia with fairness, maintaining peace across diverse lands, and standing as a lasting symbol of Muslims Islamic unity, strength, and mercy for all humanity.
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ "I bear witness that there is no god but God, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God."
its always these day to day sorts of things that interest me the most about history. Like yeah the battles and changes in power are cool, but what would a normal persok be doing as these large events take place?
I received the Tasting History cookbook for Christmas and this was the first thing I made (New Year’s Day dinner). It was a huge hit with the family and I will definitely be making it again.
They find a recipe in my phone for “corn dog snickers “ and it says “put stick in snicker, dip in Nutella and fry like regular” yes. The future is saved from this knowlege
Tbh there are DEFINITELY older recipes, just none written down. Because well, theres alot of reasons for that. Many people that research this know that, because if theres no writing, people have to literally guess what stuff happened back then. And even then, its impossible to guess, because theres really no proof of much before 4 to 5000 years ago.

Looks like manchrurian
Interesting to see that they also seared the meat in fat before adding the rest of the ingredients, then deglazed with liquid, just like we do today.
