The five-day trilateral exercise brought together forces from Japan, South Korea, and the United States, with Japanese F-15 and F-2 fighters among the participating aircraft announced for the exercise. The specific assignment of the aircraft seen in this footage has not been confirmed.
For narrator and United States Air Force veteran David J. Falkosky Sr., these images also bring back memories of visiting Kadena Air Base during his military service in the early 1990s and seeing American F-15 Eagles beneath that same Okinawan sky.
