  1. The caller is ridiculous. To not accept that the Saducees refused to accept the prophets is ludicrous. Jesus HIMSELF makes it explicit. Jesus would not have argued from GENESIS if they accepted the prophets. It is one of the foundational differences between saducees and Pharisees and this is NOT in dispute among scholars.

  2. William Whiston (Translator of Josephus' works) believed that the 22 Books mentioned in Antiquities was the catalogue for the "Hebrews Jews in Jerusalem."
Jerome was a man of contradictions. He claimed in his preface to Ezra that third and fourth Esdras (2 Esdras) no one take "delight in the dreams found in the apocryphal third and fourth books." Yet in his discourse with Vigilantius he claims he never read fourth Esdras.
In less than 5 minutes one can search the Church Father Scripture Search Engine and see that Jerome believed books like Sirach to be Holy Scripture and on the same level as books like Revelation.
The reason so many misunderstand Jerome is because they have never truly throughly examined his works.
