How is this guy taking risk? https://youtu.be/GoX94-uZhb4
II like how it shows the right way to conduct a client meeting: composed and calm, asking questions with the intention of helping, while also aiming to strike a fair deal.
Who in the hell would give 50% of revenue for just a video… 3-6% is adequate
Bargaining at it's peak
"Chris, I think you're great and would love to hire you, but I don't think I'm going to see that much more value when compared to your competitor to justify that price difference."
what would he say to that?
What is the business? A restaurant? Clothing? This is all so fake and vague it doesn’t matter.
Brands might accept this notion but majority of Realtors won’t. Your a commodity to them and the standard of video ever since the TVP coarse got leaked and studio 910 started educating the world, its never been easier to be replaced
I want to see a better elevator pitch than this, no seriously link it.
You aren’t taking any risk. You make a video I like 40 minutes and that’s it. 😅
A normal person would have negotiated down to 30-40%.. maybe even 20%.. lower the percentage, longer time for revenue, and vice versa.. A normal promotional video is not very long lasting, so it would be wise to reconsider the purpose of the video, length of the video, the effects added and the supposed time peak… speaking of facts, it's easier to negotiate..
All these things looks very appealing but it's hard to get deals done like this
Next
You never hear a customer try to negotiate the price at a grocery store but they want to negotiate on price with an individual. The respect is lacking!
This guy is no business man, he is more worried of sharing profit higher tha 1k, than making profit for more than 1k. He should go back to hourly and stop worring if getting rich means sharing the profits with those who contribute on making you richer.
I love this video… however…
As a designer/entrepreneur that’s been in the design industry for 25+ years in NYC, I have yet to see anyone or any company act within the compacity of honesty and trust worthiness.
If you think a client that is nitpicking about $1000 is going to honor paying 50% of revenue generated (presumably in perpetuity, or any amount of time) you’re kidding yourself.
Plus…. You’ll have to eventually sue them, which deters your time and finances away from growing your business.
However, for the sake of the argument, it’s a really great way to get the customer to see the value in paying the flat fee.
Kudos. 👏👏👏

Am In for the deal. You have 50% now and always.. where is the paper work…
Post expenditure of materials & labour an you've got a deal 👍
Where i can find full video
But then you have to wonder.. if I give him a 1000? Will he do as good of a job knowing that's all he's going to get?
What if he takes your attitude and thinks, I'm only getting a thousand to make him all that extra money.
I'd definitely give him a percentage with no risk.
Because now he's invested and you're definitely going to get 100% of his efforts.
can anybody stop this drama please
