A 100 kW CRAH coil fed with 18 °C water sends air out at 24 °C: a 6 K approach. For 22 °C air at the same load and flows, the LMTD drops from 8.66 to 6.55 K and the coil needs about 1.3× the UA; a 2 K approach needs 2×, 1 K about 2.8×, and zero would need infinite area.
