This video explores how Millennials and Gen Z ended up fighting over the same shrinking opportunities. Millennials entered adulthood during the Great Recession, embraced hustle culture, side jobs, and corporate loyalty, yet many remain stuck in mid-level positions with limited wealth. Gen Z watched all of that happen and reached a very different conclusion: maybe the system isn’t worth playing.
From impossible housing costs and stagnant wages to disappearing entry-level jobs and declining trust in major institutions, both generations are facing the same broken economic ladder. The difference is how they respond to it.
Millennials keep trying to climb. Gen Z increasingly wants to stop climbing altogether. The real conflict isn’t about skinny jeans, Harry Potter, or workplace etiquette, It’s about two generations realizing there may not be enough of the middle class left for either of them.

I was born in 94, so I'm on the younger side of the millennial generation. I honestly feel I have more in common with Gen z than I do older millennials. By the time I entered the work for e, there were already very few entry level jobs available for me and after the pandemic it got even worse.
Gen Z wants to have a life outside of work, and the corpos do not like that.
Why am I angry? The planet's on fire, I watched millions of people die from poor management of COVID, AI stole my job, entry level work doesn't exist anymore, abusers are in power, ICE thugs are kidnapping and beating people on the street, I'll never be able to retire or own a house, and algorithms fried the brains of my male peers into misogynist monsters. I think it's more time effective to list reasons for me to not be angry.
I worked an entry level job with 3 people aged 50 to 60 years old with 30+ years of work. They own houses, cars, tools, affording to go out on vacations. I was paid 15.50 an hour and couldn't afford rent near the hospital. I opted to move back in with my parents and commute 30min-1hour work everyday (because traffic is just that bad) I was pushed and forced to do most of the work the older people weren't willing to do, haven't done in years, or randomly decied it was something my young back could only do. When I was then threatened by the oldest worker in my position… I was pushed out of the job. They let the older worker stay, covered up his actions. When I pointed out how the older people barely work, and all the tasks I did in a day, and how the higher position people would joke about how the older folk in my position do absolutely nothing in a day getting paid more than me. I quit. I left the job and the medical field as well. Screw the older generation.
I think this video is made to educate on the actual disbalance in thr economy. Though it offers no solutions, or ideas how to improve. Ultimately it is rage bait.
Millennial here I don't hate gen z, granted that I don't have job, the fight is with the past.
Sometimes we think millennials can be annoying or naive, but the majority of both generations are on the same page. Yes, we do think some of their humor is cringe, and also the grind and move up The ladder culture is just unappealing for us. Overall though we all see that we have bought into a lie, and we just don't want to follow down the same path that they started down and got screwed over.
Fake narrative. The boomers were openly cruel in their selfishness and the "party generation" are so detached from reality they're practically useless. Those sentiments are widely shared and as the older generations realize how people actually feel they're losing their grip. Plain and simple.

Millennial here. I came to the conclusion that if I was ever going to be able to buy my own home, I'd have to cut my ties to the city and move out to the country. And I haven't looked back!
I don't think the game's rigged, I think the game map has just changed and now we have to adapt to the new map hazards.
I am on the line between millenials and Gen Z. Millenials, we gotta let go. We had a chance and we cried our way through our 20s. Let Gen Z do what we should have done from the start. If they truly have the guts to drag this zombie economy out behind a wood shed and put on e between the eyes, then let them. We will suffer, just as we were starting to experience a modicum of success. That doesn't change the situation. This unholy undead abomination of a society must be allowed to die. It will hurt, and even destroy many of us, but it's the only possible path towards a future. We have the opportunity to be better than the boomers. Just let it die, or cling to the scraps while it continues to get worse.
22 year old Gen z here with a 44 year old Millenial mother, the reason we don’t beleive in the work hard and you’ll get promoted thing is cause we’ve actively seen it fail from our parents trying, we can see that the dream was promised to them and then failed them and we don’t want to follow the blind , we have no issue with Millenials though
