IMO the rocking alone is already a deal breaker for me to use Samsung. The 2nd, is the Samsung UI. No matter how much power the Samsung has, it's still a Samsung.

Pixel 11 Pro fold is my 1st foldable and I love it!
My Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be here tomorrow, I just love the way it looks and haptics and software. Now the Z Fold 8 Ultra is bad ass in its own right but the longer you hold to a Samsung phone the longer you have to wait for updates.

Is it worth going from a Oneplus Open to the Pixel 11 Fold? That crease is unacceptable in 2026 especially when the Oneplus Open doesnt have a crease and this phone came out 3 years ago. But man do I miss the Google/Pixel software experience….

the fold 8 screen inner looks bigger, and i likr how when you put 8 ultra in landscape the video is slihtly biiger tha when in portrait, the 11 fold is just square.

I've had the fold 3,5,6 and 8 ultra. Samsung has been making fold phones since 2019. I'll stick to the one who has experience of 8 generations.

Pixel UI is awful on a foldable. Completely wastes the potential of the form factor. That cancels out any hardware advantages the Pixel has.
2:05 You need to close it past 45 degrees then re-open it, or just set the angle at first open. Once you fully open the Fold7 and 8 Ultra, the hinge loses its tension and you effectively need to "reset" it. The Fold6 hinge was a lot better in this regard.
3:00 the Pixel is hardly giving you "stereo separation" in portrait orientation. The sound is still top to bottom. Then in landscape, one of your hands will always end up occluding one of the speakers. No such issue on the 8 Ultra.
5:45 It's actually the Z Fold more effectively dissipating the heat than anything. Heat being insulated inside the device isn't helpful at all.

Never understood youtubers obsession with wether a phone wobbles or not on a table. I've never just pecked away at my phone while it's sitting on the table, why is that such a big deal to people making review videos?
Built in Magsafe is a MAJOR advantage in my book as someone that hates using cases in order to get the feature. And its a feature I had no idea would become a must have. I would use my OnePlus 13 case less if it had built in magsafe. Another reason for me is the Pixel software stock android still feels more cohesive to me than OneUI or Oxeygen/Color OS on One Plus and Oppo which are literally just trying to clone iOS.
Also people complaining about Pixel performance in real world day to day use my experience between my old Pixel 9a and OnePlus 13 were NON existent in terms of smoothness. In fact I had the OP13 drop frames and even lag at times not even my Pixel 9a did that. Granted I don't play games but still.

The Pixel Fold has a better IP rating than Samsung when it comes to water and dust resistance. 😉
Agree samsung ruined the hinge for flex mode. Fold 6 was the best, it can be set at literally any angle.

I still use the pixel fold 2023 and a lot of the games I play I like having the controls on the bottom screen and the game on the top screen like a Nintendo DS and if I can't adjust the angle of the hinge that would kinda suck
