How close are we to electric planes? Getting closer! Here’s how.
I visited a company called Beta that’s working on electric planes. The most interesting thing I learned is that while it might be a long time until we can electrify those big passenger planes you might be used to, in order for electric planes to help us reduce carbon emissions significantly… we actually don’t need to!
I made a longer video about this that you can watch here:

I'd love a video about the near future of green energy. Like our predictions for the next 10 years.. cuz currently it seems like most electricity is not at all green which sorta defies the purpose
Not yet
all hail greg
Can cross ocean freeway better ferry
The future is finally now🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love your videos 🎉🎉It teaches me a lot😊😊😊
Beta Technologies is already producing, flying, and selling all electric airplanes. So, some people are already flying in all electric airplanes.
I know an electric aircraft it’s called joby s4 and it’s an evtol ( electric vertical takeoff and landing) and it’s cool 😎
The solid states batteries are gonna change the game!!!!!
Fly paper airplanes and we should get these things called plants and tree to scrub the air. 🙄
And just now solid state batteries are finally being used (in a motorcycle)
Donut Lab and Verge, respectively
How can we book these short haul electric flights?
Or register our interest?
Most of the emission comes from celebrities' private jets. Yeah, I'm looking at you Taylor Swift. And then the average joe gotta eat the offset costs in the form of higher prices or bullshit epa regs. regulations.
It's been 2 years since this video. Why do short-distance commercial electric planes still not exist?
"high speed rail, high speed rail!1!1!1!1" shut up. Not everywhere is europe or the US. The last high speed rail project were I live was cancelled in 2008, and even if it wasnt cancelled, it wouldve been built in 2050. This is ACTUALLY important.
This is stupid and you electric everything people are beginning to sound cultish
and electric plane will be much more safety in case that the plane fall. That is due to no fuel that can lead to explosion
How do you plan to get electric engines that provide less than half the thrust of a an airliner engine like the GE90 to then even provide enough thrust to get off the ground.
Or we could just ask Taylor Swift to fly commercial
Can they not build small hybrid electric planes where you just use a smaller engine to charge a smaller battery to power a yes a smaller motor.
