So dated, nothing impressive. The Chinese can do better, faster, cleaner and more stylish. No wonder the shares are keep on going down.

Painting an Aston Martin in black should be a criminal offense. You lose all the beautiful lines into a big black blob.
The DB12 is not a “beautiful” car. It’s a handsome and muscular looking one. I don’t think Aston build beautiful cars anymore.
It's weird, the share price keeps going down, the cars keep getting better. Evidently a complete lack of correlation between shareholders and drivers. Wonder why…
I hope that the on-off Aston is not based of their actual F1 car because it won't shatter anyting except his driver. Joke aside good test of a superb car, first time i see a DB with a panoramic roof, look great.

Aston's do look nice, but very kit car-ish vibes what with the engines from other makes and, in this case, the copying of styling cues from a 15 year old Ferrari California. Probably a contributer to the depreciation curve. Surprised to hear they're "on a roll"; the dealers I see here in Florida are awash in inventory. More originality and authenticiy please.

I was at my local Mercedes dealer who had a brand new Aston in the showroom. I asked what gives, and the GM said the AMG GT was just as good for less. So he traded it in for a GT and had money left over. Nuff said?

For me now is between Aston Martin DB12 S and Bentley Continental GT S as the ultimate continent crushing performance grand tourers. The design of DB12 is just simply stunning (perfect proportions), for me the best looking Aston Martin, and the interior is big improvement from the previous generations. Just to bad that being called DB"12", is not actually V12 under the front bonnet and if they added manual transmission it would be just automotive perfection.

No V12? So what's the point? No reason to buy an Aston. If I'd want AMG engine I'd by an AMG car…
I know its old but, for me the ultimate touring aston is a late model rapide S for between £60'000 and £80'000.
Yes its old tech inside but a V12 and rear seats that a small person can actually sit in,or loads of extra luggage space.

I really love Aston as a brand, and I would love to own one at some point, but it's frustrating because a 911 Turbo is a sharper tool, and Ferrari evokes more passion and a Bentley Conti is more luxurious. So I'm really torn on where I would put my money.

Aston seems to have too many things eating their revenue that are not road car based : F1 = shitshow + WEC = making up the numbers….How many hundreds of millions being wasted by those endevours. Regarding the DB12 S = Fantastic.
The marginal gains of these Immediately Depreciating New Cars are basically pointless (unless you want the “latest and greatest”).
So many better buys on the second hand market – either slightly older AMs or something like (random example) a 10 year old V10 Audi R8, for a fraction of the price.
Would be nice if car channels like this didn’t review new cars in isolation. But understand that they are part of the industry. And if this one floats your boat – enjoy 👍🏻
