F16s great tool since the top gun movie 🍿🎥 80s and still needs a training done also need about 19 18 hrs maintenance for every hour in flight.and parts need good mechanic and crew to know how to do the work for maintenance. Not so easy need training also to fly it when under pressure and emergency situation. Great love the 16 mean and fast .

That dive was so deep, she almost got wet! HAHA! I'm not a fan of the F-16 fighting falcon because the emergency power unit runs on extremely dangerous hydrozine. While handling this emergency fuel, crew will need special suits, because it is known to dissolve skin and burst into flames when exposed to certain subastances. If a F-16 sustains battle damage, or has to belly land, that tank can rupture. This happened in WWII to german Komet pilots, the hydrozine fuel dissolved the pilots in the crashes. Not a fan.
The Saab JAS Gripen would be better suited for Ukraine. It is, compared to the F-16, cheaper, more rugged, can be maintained by conscripts, can land on a piece of highway or operate from a basic forward base, does not require impeccable runways with regular FOD sweeps. The Gripen is also NATO compatible and fires the European Meteor missile that outperforms the latest version of the Sidewinder.
There are just not enough Gripens produced to go around.

The F-16 cannot use rugged landing strips. The F-16 needs a rather advanced logistical support infrastructure to be operational long term. The F-16 can carry and deliver nuclear weapons, this is why Pakistan was so keen to have them. So, the F-16 is NOT just a plane Pilots love to fly. The F-16 in Ukraine would be a seem as potent bridge head of NATO in Ukraine. Russia has the Baltic states’ F-16 to worry about. But Russia has the enclave of Kaliningrad to keep Poland and the Baltic states in check. But Ukraine is much larger. So, please your own judgment when analyzing these issues, beyond random YouTube shorts…
