  1. Nah. I would rather wait for gen 2. Android is still rubbish in my books and experience. But yea I believe everyone should buy what suits them and not following trends

  2. I'm using a fold 8 as well. I like it, a bit odd at first coming from a s25 ultra. Ironically this passport form factor everyone suddenly is going crazy for was the same as the original pixel fold which got no fanfare. 😅

  3. I just love how Apple delivers updates.
My iPhone, Apple Watch, and MacBook all get the update at the same time.
Whether you have an iPhone 11 or an iPhone 18
Pro, you get the update at the same time.
No matter where you live in the world, you get the update at the same time as everybody else.
Updates are never held back by local carriers either.
In short, everyone in the world gets it at the exact same time. Samsung still doesn’t. their soft delayed in 3-4 moth and segmented

  4. The only reason to buy the Samsung is if you are an android phone fan. You are also speculating massively on the cause by saying it’s dust-related. The ip-68 rating is an independent rating that you won’t get without it being dust-resistant.

  5. I also bought a Z Fold 8 which is now my main phone. I really hate the D shaped design of the Duo and the 254 gram weight (and without a case yet) unlike Samsung's symmetrical design which looks better. And yes, the nanotexture of the Duo makes the display colors look washed out and way less vibrant. Lastly, the Duo's resale value is going to be bad with all these issues. No one in their right mind will buy a used iphone Duo only to end up paying for absurd repair prices from Apple. Buying a used slab/candy bar type phones are totally fine but a foldable? Good luck with that.
