Apocalypse is now Trigon
Professor X (Professor cuck) is completely fkn useless, he loves to sit there and let everyone die without even attempting to use his powers. I mean even when he does, he gets his ass beat in his realm.
terrible ending. any time apocalypse shows up they never know what to do with him and he never fights in an entertaining way. he just stands there being attacked until someone gets a power up. overpowered villains with too many powers become boring in the hands of lazy writers who don't instead use his many powers to do the most creative shit you can think of, even as a kid i daydreamed better fights than this. they sacrifice nightcrawler to try give the ending some emotion as they knew rogue wasn't enough and Gambit can't die 5 more times but sure they would try. apocalypse, Kang, and villains like Brainiac (yes i know DC) are honestly just big filler villains. never enough to be the main big bad. how do you basically repeat x-men apocalypse finally battle. the goal should be to not do anything close to it but nah. rogue is god. Let character's go 100% and write the story around that and put in the effort and problem solve solutions on how to make it work.
They missed the biggest opportunity ever: X-Force, X-Factor, and the X-Men TOGETHER TO FIGHT APOCALYPSE.
There should've been an AMAZING fight scene where Apocalypse turns half the team against each other in a Civil War-style battle. AND THEN PSYLOCKE, JEAN, AND PROFESSOR X battle in the astral plane of Apocalypse's mind, where PRIME Apocalypse overcomes them.
Then, in a twist, Apocalypse brings back all the Season 2 dead as his Horsemen: Weapon X, Majik, the Xternal, War, and, in a twist, Magneto. When celestial rogue returns in all her glory. The X-Men gain the upper hand until Val Cooper (Mystique) betrays them. And reveals APOCALYPSE PRESENT (THERE ARE 2 APOCALYPSES). The horseman contain all teams and Apocalypse Present contains Rogue and all seems lost… until CABLE IS THE LAST MAN STANDING. In desperation he finally trusts his power and He invades the mind of Apocalypse Past, then sacrifices himself and uses the techno organic virus to lock Apocalypse's mind inside a techno chip containing Apocalypse forever.
FUTURE APOCALYPSE IS ERASED FROM GAMBIT'S MIND. CABLE DIES FROM THE TECHNO ORGANIC VIRUS TRANSFER. Everything goes black. GAMBIT, Magneto, weapon x, majik, and the Xternal are returned to normal.
The X-Men mourn the loss of Cable. Realizing Mother Askani was actually right and the clan Askani timeline is validated. ✅️
POST-CREDIT SCENE.
Then, as they celebrate, the Danger Room reconstructs itself into ONSLAUGHT.
X-MEN FANS… YOU'RE WELCOME! 😂
Make me the writer for Season 3. I won't disappoint you!
S1 was way better.
last half of this season did not deliver imo. was stoked through the first half but the last 3-4 episodes were so puzzling as someone who knows very little about the comics at least. they jumped around a ton, the dialogue was extremely inconsistent, not enough time with the main squad kicking ass together, etc. unfortunately felt nothing with the nightcrawler reveal… felt like a bitch-out move to just immediately return to s1 status quo (minus magneto and nightcrawler i guess). pretty mid, unfortunately! :((((
I felt this season was a step down. Interesting episodes and moments, but a total lack of story development for Apocalypse. At least one more episode preparing him and causing chaos would have helped significantly prior to the finale and raised the stakes.
Jubilee breaking the mutants out of the X-Factor ship while beating the crap out of the guards to Veruca Salt was how you do a needle drop *cough Lookin at you Gunn *cough
"But Daaaad… I have to stop Apocalypse!" Man, who hasn't been there?
I may be in the minority, but to for me literally meeting a celestial that has god-tier magical powers, not sure I would continue to worship some guy from two thousand years ago who claimed to be "god" after Apocalypse already did that.
Also, "survival of the fittest" is a term from Darwin's cousin, Herbert Spencer, who believed in Social Darwinism—that the wealthy were the fittest because duh, they're wealthy. Not what Charles Darwin was advocating at all.
Wait, that was the season finale?!
The season finale writing is fucking incredible
15:13 it was mephesto along or was it agatha
All the hype for Apocalypse just for him to get soloed by Death/Gambit and then try and fail to possess his body for 5 mins in the last episode.
Cyclops possession happened after age of apocalypse.
When did they say they were going back to “1997”? Sure sounded like they simply said “‘90s” to me. 😆
Yeah I’m like ehhh Rogue can die NP, NOOOOOO NOT NIGHTCRAWLER! Nooooooo!!!
What happened to MT ?
0:26 Compared to Season 1, season 2 is kinda disappointing but Compared to What if, season 2 is a masterpiece.
I'm so glad Mystique is finally back on this show. I've wanted her back earlier, but at least now I see why they've waited until now to have Mystique show back up. Now I'm even more pumped for Season 3 of X‐Men '97!
Magneto is benched at most, since nobody really dies
What did I miss? How come Rogue can kiss Remi?
Final thoughts, bring back Beau DeMayo
Did I hear that right? 1963’s X-men 266? That was from 1990.
