Former UK Border Force chief Tony Smith firmly rejects suggestions of shooting migrant boats during a heated discussion with Julia Hartley-Brewer.
Responding to remarks attributed to Major General Julian Thompson, Tony argues that targeting the boats cannot be separated from the danger to those aboard.
“We’re not at war with France. We’re not at war with these people.”
