Hey everyone – lot of you digging this lesson 🙂 Thanks! But did you know I just released an updated and improved super HD version of this course – and it's still free 🙂 Just go to https://www.justinguitar.com/begin – as well as the lessons, I learned to play left handed using my own course, and filmed my journey, so you can watch me struggle along with you! I really hope it's the best beginner guitar course that's ever been made, and it's free (but I do appreciate donations if you enjoy it and can afford to!). Go check it out, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
The C chord I am finding an absolute BASTARD!
Nevertheless, it MUST be mastered, so I am doing those Spider Exercise stretches
And am GREATLY CHEERED by Justin´s recounting that ALL of his students have, eventually, been able to do it!😍🥰😇
I’m 15 years late to this, but having two problems:
1. Third finger must crush the string precisely against the fret or else it buzzes. (Cordoba Cadete, 3/4). Less pressure or slightly off of fret causes buzzing. 3 nylon strings and other 2 metal strings don’t have this issue.
2. The practice song I’m working on (some demented version of Malagueña from the depths of beginner guitar hell) has a single D played with the 4th finger right before this chord. Maybe I should just place the fingers for C-chord ahead of time instead of trying to quickly move to hit this chord after playing D? At a metronome speed of 138, I feel like my fingers belong in a nursing home every time I try to play this bridge section between the two “normal” Malagueña sections. (Am also considering holding a funeral pyre for this book and trying something else. Other YT vids of “beginner Malagueña” have very different bridge sections that seem a lot easier.)

THANKS.
all i did was like sort of wrap around my hand around the neck of the guitar to tighten my fingers and it worked
How far off the fretboard are the strings supposed to be? Also, why are there different versions of the C chord?
Who invented the fretboard? I want to send them an email 😂😂. I need to grow another finger.
It is hard😂😂😂😂
❤ nice stitch
I learned the C chord 57 years ago I think it was the easiest one.
WAIT THIS GUY IS JUSTIN?
Thanks, Justin.
A newcomer.
I subscribed.
Playing for 48 years. Always have to look in a book to remember a C . Memory is so bad but can tell you about 10,000 bands and their songs? Go figure. Barre chords bro.
Excellent tutorial Justin this helped a lot
His finger looks so comfortable. I feel like my wrists is going to break and my three fingers are making shapes that doesnt look natural
Edit: I was keeping my fingers too square and not tilted. Work in progress. I had problems with D chord at first and can nail that every time, so it's off to practice I go 😂
my fingers seem to be too short
Not being able to play the c chord in the beginning makes me not like people of color.
Its impossible for me to play the C chord & not mute strings unless I take a half an hour to get my fingers just right & bend my wrist at a nearly deformed angle.
This is great but how do I use this shape in barred chords???? I can do this shape at c position but I can't move it up while being able to mute the E string
My fingers don’t know how to work 😅 finally got the G cord down. Thanks for your videos! They’re super helpful
My first finger is the problem it always mutes the e and g string. Farking infuriating I can't get it
i did a C chord by accident… perfectly….. I think I'm big brain now…..
Wow this is the second cord I’ve learned and I did not have much trouble
I don’t think I can ever do this 😢
