Primary RGB Tandem OLED is a bit of a mouthful, but it’s also the name of LG’s fourth generation of W-OLED panels which are making their way en-masse to the market now. The Primary RGB Tandem part uses four stacked layers to create actual red, green and blue light, rather than just producing white light and then running that light through colour filters, making these new panels up to 20 percent more efficient, longer lasting, and brighter. I still prefer quantum dot OLEDs personally, but LG’s RGB Tandem displays make things a lot more interesting in the W-OLED world too!
