  1. 45:23 tell that to my friends around my age (mid 20's) that have a job, and think that im just being lazy, and getting a job is, in their words, "as easy as walking in and asking for a job". Like no, its not that easy. Just because YOU got lucky, it doesn't mean its easy for everyone else. And then you get people in their 50's-70's that are stuck in the past, thinking that it was easy for them back them, so it's easy for me. Hearing that stuff and just completely ignoring whats actually going on in the world to make it so hard to find a job kinda hurts. Like I don't care about politics in the slightest, but even I can agree that the world is screwed. Just saying.

  2. 33:26 realizing i was resentful of people because they got to do the stuff i wanted helped me kick into action and start actually dooooing stuff instead of just sitting around being bitter and waiting for stuff to come to me.

  3. The shirt thing was just stupid… Like the father wasn't even mad. He could've just acted everything was fine. Like u won the bet as well.. but doubling down and complaining to your gf is just stupidity

  4. 1:02:40 that's me, and yeah Trevor, I feel the same about you guys. "You don't actually see things in your mind, you're making it up"
But to me, it's not even just spoken descriptions, it's vibes.
Like, I can't see a chair in my head, but I don't need words to just know what a chair looks like. Like how you know when your arm is when your eyes are closed, or like how when you forget a word, you know what the word is, how it works, how it's used, you just forget what it is. Like that but for visual objects

  5. My son and I went to book sale day at his Catholic high school and there was a dad there with his son and the son was wearing a shirt that said “ GOT BEER”
My head almost blew off cause I wanted to tell him to turn it inside out and I thought the father was a real idiot for allowing that to happen—— how disrespectful.

The dad in this story handled it perfectly. 👍🏼👍🏼

  6. 2: you aren't forced to hang out with people, it should be something you enjoy.
You told her if she kept doing it you won't enjoy spending time with her. She kept doing it. You no longer look forward to seeing her. So you don't try to see her more

  7. My husband would NEVER be caught dead wearing a shirt like that, let alone wear it in front of my dad who was an infantry drill sergeant, and previous corrections officer lol. My dad would honestly react at first laughing at how absurd it is, but would probably tell him to wear his shirt inside out. Hes not the type to just hand money out lol. That dad handled it well I think. He talked to his daughters bf in private, and set boundaries as to what is acceptable in his home respectfully. The bf sounds immature and cant handle criticism. If I was his gf Id probably have told him "yeah of course my dad asked you to change. What were you thinking wearing something like that to have dinner with my family?!" Lol

  8. To the third story and final update like if that’s true….im not impressed? I lied to you on a forum haha! Like?? Okay? People treated your story in good faith oh no?? I’d actually be impressed if like you spread a rumor that eating broccoli made you hotter. And now broccoli eating and prices were up like 15% since you’re intentional spreading of that rumor. But this? “I lied on an anonymous forum and you believed me for the ten seconds you focused on this story haha!” Yea no.

  9. That first dad is definitely NOT the asshole. That was a super classy way to deal with a very idiotic and disrespectful sartorial choice. That 19 yo dumbass should take this as an excellent learning opportunity.

  10. "Yeah the story is fake i cant believe you went onto a forum where people share assumed real stories and felt sympathy for a fake person. Gotcha!" Eyeroll

  11. I love the thought of getting an A on a thesis because you lied on the internet about a completely inconsequential story that would affect no one besides the lives of the two random made up people and then going. See you believe anything you read on the internet. Yes, any random bullshit story someone decides to put on the internet that is completely and utterly inconsequential I give them the benefit of the doubt. Also cause you're not even influencing their opinions, you're just putting something out there and getting their reaction. It's not like all these people were like. No. He's such a bad guy and then slowly you convinced them all he's actually right.

  12. 30:30 Perhaps this is a European take (🇳🇱, early thirties), but the “jokes” didn’t sound funny to me in the first place? This is mainly a person taking out their frustration in life on someone who’s moving into a different trajectory.
