Q8: E-E Pipe Laying Length H to I | Plumbing Math

Question 8 uses the H-to-I diagonal again. This time, find the straight pipe laying span after removing the wye and bend portions included in the center-to-center measurement.

Carry the center-to-center result from Question 7. Use the supplied 4-inch wye X-prime and eighth-bend D values, add the allowances and line up feet, whole inches and sixteenths for the subtraction.

Put the allowances back to check that the result returns to the fitting-center length. Question 4 gives the full table-to-fitting explanation.

Worksheet assumptions
Use the supplied 4-inch fitting rows and the illustrated wye-branch and bend-spigot orientation. E-E means the worksheet net laying span between its shoulder/seat and spigot references. The 3D fitting shapes are teaching models.
