In this video series I show how we determine the difference between a relation and a function. A function is a relation where every input value maps to exactly one output value. Every function can be written in function notation. I am a math teacher that provides free online math tutoring by working through problems for the website These questions are usually to help students understand their math homework or to do well on their math test. The videos are made for students that want help with math and want to be shown a step by step process into solving the problems. In addition to solving the problems I also offer explanations into why I am doing each step. I offer free math videos so that my students can learn math online if they missed a day of school. However I also like to answer questions that are not apart of what I currently teach.
x + y = 9
x^2 + y^2 = 1
x = y^2

Okay I get it now
10 years later for myself and Mr.Mclogan thanks for helping!
Why does it become a plus minus tho?
Three lectures and didn’t understand this bc my professor moved to quick and talks like a librarian. Thanks
Tysm
Thank you I understand it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤍🤍
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bruh how did you say sum was not a function of x but I got it as a function of x
12 years later and he’s still help people 💀 (bro saved my grade)
scared for my pre-calculus test tomorrow, wish me luck!
Thank you for the explanation. Please Teacher, could you help me with this following exercise? Solve the equation in integers: x^2- 5y^2= 5. I'll be very grateful.
genuinely saved me you're amazing
Bro…huhhh??
Eleven years later and this still really helped me, thanks very much.
I’m taking thiscollege algebra class and we use ALEKS. The ALEKS program did not explain it this simple 💀
x^2+y^2=2 x+y=1 xy=1 X=O y=1 ACADEMIC Marcelius Martirosianas
So is it safe to say that if your y value has a square in it will not be a function?
I respectfully ask please go back to gardening!
But why does my book say that x^2 + y^2 = 0 can be written as a function of x?
So basically y is a function of x as long as it doesn’t have two solutions? Doesn’t matter what y equals to as long as it wasn’t squared in the beginning?
I got a 97% on my test! Thank you so much.
its 2022 and i watch your videos
I just woke up and I need to finish 21 algebra assignments in one day and brainly is not helping 😭
how is it possible sir we already studied that for a given domain we can have two values of y(by the definition of onto function)…
Nearly a decade later and this man still helping people out
