SIN was never a punishment. It was a decision.
This video is not about what SIN is, but why Spira needed it to exist.
From the War of Zanarkand to the Final Summoning, from the Calms to Yuna’s refusal, this is a canon-accurate analysis of how sacrifice became tradition — and how one choice finally broke the cycle.
This is not a lore recap.
It’s an essay about grief, repetition, and learning how to let go.

SIN was never a punishment.
It was a decision.
At what point do you think Spira accepted the cycle instead of questioning it?
The First Calm?
The Final Summoning?
Or long before that?
⬇ Let me know in the comments.
And that's why it keeps being my fav FF world. With all this in perspective, even the "hated" (not for me❤) FF X-2 gains new meanings, and I wish SE would fully go into a third part for Spira, even in 2.5 HD 🤞🤞🤞🤞 It would be my dream, but I won't fall into Yu Yevon's mistake & I'll move forward 🤣
The voice acting is so bad
I still hold that i want to watch the game movie with a gf.. And if she loves the story, ill probably fall in love right there lol what an amazing game. Changed my life.

"Tide-us"
It's meant to sound like water – the tide
The tide used in the funeral dance, the water into which Zanarkand sank, and from which Sin rises
(Sin always comes from the water – did you notice?)
This video is so good
I wish they would make a tv show from FFX. 😵 I wanna show this story to my wife.
What I love about your videos is your impeccable writing and extensive vocabulary. A true wordsmith.
For some reason this is my favorite story in all forms of story telling. I hate it!! It is not a happy fell good story. Its just loss. Man it is awesome
One of the most emotional FF stories ever. I think that it's time for a another playthrough for nostalgia's sake…
When the government becomes religion. The corrupt leader refuses to step down. 1 stranger is enough to break the system by asking a single question "WHY"
Listening that conversation on the shoopoof after again all this time sends me chills on how similar it is to the current status of humankind and the world… Imagine at some point the sea rises and a gigantic creature shows up on the shore of some Kilika-like islands like the Maldives or the Caribbean and suddenly we have our own Sin…
Hit me right in the feels.
Yep…. Time to replay x and x-2 for the 20th time. Thanks! Great video!
People confuse Sin as armour to protect the memory of Zanarkand. That's not what it was, it was armour to protect the idea, not the memory. No it wasn't punishment, it was just bad luck for the planet.
if you really think about it, both jecht and tidus were brought to spira with the same end goal, to end the dream. if jecht had done that prior we wouldnt have had the game, yuna would still have her father. perhaps lulu would have never even met wakka. but i digress, my point is this has given me a better understanding of the game as a whole, thank you
Why wouldn’t they use the Dark Aeons to defeat sin? They are definitely stronger than normal Aeons lol
If Yuna had completed the final summoning, which guardian would have become the final aeon? Was both Jecht and Tidus dreams, if so, how could a dream become Sin?
idk i always saw it as the mc titus you were the final fantasy. you were just a dream when the game endend so did the dream. at the end of the day titus was just a dream of a hero that was a means to an end.
Final Fantasy X has one of the greatest stories. Currently replaying it on pc at 60 fps
.AAAHAHAHAHAHA…AAAHAHAHAHAHA…AAAHAHAHAHAHA!!
This video made me realize they gave Tidus the same mannerisms as Jecht lol
