Tehran is renewing activity in the fields of nuclear weapons and missiles, and American officials are watching developments around Mount HaMakosh. President Donald Trump is preparing an emergency meeting with Gulf leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, as Washington looks toward the next phase of the Iran war and the regional order after it.
In the Strait of Hormuz, American forces opened fire and destroyed two Iranian boats after they tried to seize an unmanned American vessel. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards continue trying to challenge the American blockade, while U.S. forces work to protect commercial shipping, strike Iranian naval capabilities, and keep the energy route open under the threat of missiles, drones, and attack boats.
A major new revelation raises the stakes: 14 Russian spy satellites reportedly helped direct an Iranian missile attack on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, where 12 American soldiers were wounded and a strategic AWACS aircraft was destroyed. The report examines how Russian intelligence support may be helping Iran strike American forces in the region.
The U.S. House of Representatives approved a major sanctions package targeting Russia, Iran, and the “shadow fleet” used to evade oil restrictions. The bill would allow tariffs of up to 100% on leading buyers of Russian oil and gas, including countries that help keep Moscow and Tehran’s energy networks alive.
Saudi Arabia is under growing pressure from Iran’s Houthi proxy. The East-West oil pipeline has been hit, Bab al-Mandab remains under threat, and Riyadh is seeking urgent air-defense support. The Houthis now claim they shot down a Saudi F-15 over Marib, but Saudi Arabia has not officially confirmed the loss of the aircraft or the fate of the crew.
Israel is refusing, for now, to launch a preemptive strike against the Houthis. The defense establishment understands that the threat has expanded beyond Israel alone, threatening Eilat, Saudi Arabia, Bab al-Mandab, and international trade. Israel is choosing to build a broader regional response — but if the Houthis attack Israel again, paralyze Eilat, or tighten their control over the strait, the IDF will act with great force.
Mati Shoshani reveals how Israel defeated the Ali Taher ridge, Hezbollah’s underground terror city in southern Lebanon. The operation brought together the 36th Division, the Commando Brigade, Egoz, Maglan, Yahalom, and additional forces to isolate, map, trap, and destroy a massive underground system built over roughly two decades with Iranian funding and guidance.
