  1. I watched season 2;again on the weekend and It was strange to see Anthony to go directly to Kate's room after her accident…she is in her nighty!!! There is no way that is appropriate!

  2. Seriously has this person actually studied history. Maybe she should. If she had she would know that the British take rank seriously. Why would he wait for her to sit if his rank is higher. Etiquette means she is the one to wait for him to sit down first not the other way around. And as for the hunt seriously. Women in Henry viii court used to go hunting all the time. Elizabeth was well known for going on hunts all the time.

  3. They also didn't let black people have any kind of status… so I think we can safely say it isn't a historical representation and that they took a lotnof liberties for the sake of a storyline… which is fine… especially considering they even disclaimered it

  4. They have an etiquette/period expert so everything they do is a character choice, sitting before Kate does is a nod to how he forgets himself around her.

  5. Guyys, chill. They aren't judging or criticising the show, they're just using it as the starting point to teach us all something about real history. It's okay to point out historical innacuracies in Bridgerton whilst acknowledging that it was never meant to be historically accurate in the first place (and that is totally fine)! But it's never a bad thing to learn about real history either, so why not do it through comparisons with a fun show?

  6. It is not true that ladies were never alone with gentlemen. In pride and prejudice Elizabeth is alone with Darcy on quite a few occasions, same with Marianne and Willoughby.

  7. It’s fun to point out which bits are accurate and which aren’t- obviously it’s not historically accurate most of the time. If they were more accurate with some things, it would be less interesting
