While the canadian government already bought and paid for 15 F35 in place the spot 14 more of them, so we should go with order 30 jump over the older 1980 design griffin and go for this british italian japanese built 6 6 generation fighter.
No F35. US is not our Ally. It's amazing the damage Trump is causing his country. Canada is getting submarines from Germany. Missiles from Norway, Global Eye from Sweden along with the Gripen jets (I hope) and Over the Horizon Radar from Australia

This is stupid we need new jets now, not later get a bunch of f 35, get a bunch of griffins, mix fleet then worry about the 6th generation jet.
Great video, but Canada needs to buy those Swedish hers and gain the manufacturing aid on the Gripen E. Canada needs to ditch any further purchase if the F35 ..it us nit useful in the Arctic. It needs heated hangers fir maintenance. It cost $31,000 fly time cost, versus $7,000 cost for the Gripen E. . We already laid fir 26 F35 fighters. Dutch the rest! The F35 mean we are dependent on US defence industry. We must not do this.
We must buy the Gripen E now. No more F35 jets. American can nit buy military hardware from a country attacking it.
The US just needs to cut ties with Canada and let them protect themselves, which they can’t.

The F35 can’t start at -40 and requires heated hangers in the Arctic, the stealth also peals off the F35 at -40 with a cost of millions of $, the F35 requires a runway over 1 Kilometre, the hourly F35 flight cost is >3X Gripens, and the USAF has canceled their orders for more F-35s because of main computer issues which now delayed F-35 deliveries by 2 years!

The Gripin can operate in extreme cold, not the F-35'S. The Gripin gives us full control of upgrades and I think they were going to build them in Canada. The F-35'S are a terrible choice.
No I'm sick of this. I love Carney but there's one thing that will make me turn on him and that's the F-35'S. We need permission to fly. Only Gripens should be on our Christmas list or I'm done.
The Gripen, in Sweden they invented this airplane and named it the Gripen. Why do so many people call this Gripen the Greepen. In Sweden, they say the letters of a word as they appear so why do so many people mispronounce the word as Greepen or Grypen huh. /do they think they know better how to say it? Are the Swedes saying it wrong? Learn to pronounce the name eh!
Less jets and more drones. I don't want any F35'S, the price keeps going up for F35's and the USA can NO LONGER be TRUSTED. We must move to other countries to deal with. The F-35 is another US technology boondoggle which
Canada should abandon outright. It's over-designed and
outrageously costly. And it comes entangled with on-going
cumbersome US support linkages.
DON'T commit to F35 to secure cusma, Use another kind ( Grippen ) in our Air Force for our northern theaters.
F-35 is currently a disaster, most of the US F-35 have such software issues they cannot be used in a military situation. Keep the 14 F-35 and demand the other deposits be repaid. Get the Gripen made in Cananda, say 50 and save money for new 6th gen europe fighter if that runs into trouble buy more gripen.

This gov is waiting for trumps term to be over before it buys any gripens and they havnt even decided yet on how many f35's to purchase yet joined a 6th generation fighter group as an observer , not a single 5th generation on canadian soil and they kicked the can to the 6th.
We need to cut ties with the US not create more dependence.

Minimize F35 purchases please. Mixed fleet is better for reasons which should be obvious to anyone. I say “should be” obvious because Canadians are the best educated people anywhere!
Canada has moved away from F-35, and Canada leaves the US with nothing moving in it future. It would be a reason to dump the US. Exiting the US defense scheme is coming as the US is losing all its diplomatic, trade and defense ties. Canada Strong has shown the better way.
