Cundy is wrong about this and he is allowing his bias against other teams cloud his judgment. For example if English teams continually do poorly in Europe to the point whereby only two teams are allotted a place in the Champion's league we'd all care. The knock on effect would be less international attention on the premier league, less money in the league, it would also be harder to attract elite players to the league.
