Sorry to keep you waiting!
I can finally release this What If animation!
About a month ago, a short video I posted on Twitter and YouTube about “What if Flowery could be saved…?” unexpectedly blew up. That inspired me to create a full continuation of that idea, which eventually became this animation.
To be honest, I wanted to finish it sooner and make it even better. Even though I received a lot of technical support along the way, bringing a project like this to life mostly on my own wasn’t easy. But I’m happy to finally share the finished version with you.
I’m especially grateful to @nicuoi for allowing me to use parts of their animation, and to @KASA852 for the vocal version of Flower Man. I truly feel their work made this animation much better.
I also couldn’t have finished this project without the help of my technical supporters.

Flowery may have won this battle, but by the time he faced the Knight, his strength was already running out. After all, flowers like Flowery were only meant to last for a single day without water…
But I think he can finally rest peacefully with this ending. And with the hope that one day, he’ll be able to bloom beautifully once again, he dreams once more…

Now I know it wouldn't make sense probably, but seeing this AS a bossfight for the final "fun" chapter would've been cool.
Since it would be a culmination of the platforming sections already, plus another Knight boss fight would've been peak too
Either way though someone SHOULD make a mod of this
(I mean the ending should still play out the same but the boss fight concept in general would've been great)

(Edit 2: this should be a alternate ending where you have a choice to help flowery or let him do his thing)
I actually love the detail of Kris’ sprite changing at 4:55 when the knight is talking to them about defying the plan.
It’s like Kris is questioning themself of what is right or wrong in this scenario, but once the heart changes back from orange to red, they have made up their mind to go against the plan they were set up to do and stand with us—the player.
So apparently someone on gamebanana wants to make this a real mod so if any devs are here I beg. (I can't code for shit)

I like how Toby actually probably played Undertale yellow as the yellow flower looks very similar to a adult Clover
I haven't seen anyone mention this but i love how the knight's roaring attack forces the sun to go down and brings the starry night sky into the world
And then, as we approach the frowers intervention, the sun starts to push back the night, fully subduing it once they join the team

This should’ve been the ending if you did the pacifist run and recruited all darkners.
Wow! What an impressive and smooth animation. Feels like a cutscene/playthrough of the game. Would've been a fun alternate secret route (maybe some kind of golden path, given that it seems Kris came clean to Susie at the end). I like how even though it's an AU, it also remains close enough to the plot so that it could be a viable secret route. Also the level of detail is insane. I noticed that Flowery hits the Knight six times with his Last Jaruna before the final tug of war, and each time the reflection of one of the other flowers briefly appears (a bit hard to make it at first, but the last ones with Green and Yellow are easier to spot).
