The Goatfungus Save Editor for No Man’s Sky currently has a copycat going around that is loaded with extremely offensive malware. This has sadly been the case for months! But after finding about about it recently, I thought as it’s still active, I should let the community that watches my content know, to NOT download the fake one, it is very bad, and once openned, a full wipe of your PC is required.
This is the safe version to my knowledge, though I still don’t take liability for your actions, I just believe it to be safe right now.
Github is a site for coders, and as a whole is pretty trust worthy.

Why use a save editor? Creative mode may as well just be called fun time cheat mode, it’s the same thing.

Save editors for games always take the fun out of it.
If this happens to you or someone else yk (even just future knowledge). Change everything you logged into on that browser, and use malwarebytes “deep scan”. I also did a fresh windows install just bc it felt off not to.
Silly me recently actually downloaded from that website. They use the cookies to play as u (the ones that you say yes to “keep me logged in”) meaning they have full access.
I didn’t lose any accounts, but I responded instantly. Many of my things were compromised. Started with steam (they took and gifted $200 but I instantly locked my card when that notification popped up) then discord. (Idk if that made them upset but they really tried to act a fool with that after. Saying stuff to ppl, trying to expose my DMs to servers, etc.)

Use nomnom and get it from nexus mods. Scan for malware when downloading. As you should with everything you download.
This can all be avoided if the devs would just let new players play the old expeditions and get the rewards themselves without needing to hack the game files.

Its why I only use links I saved in firefox. To many sites getting cloned and appearing at top of Google searches.
