  1. Everything is perfect except the branding. Why would anyone want “stronger than the 1980s” printed on the vehicle? Who approved that? lol 😂 just call it 80 series, g 80, classic, or nothing.

  2. The reason they are limiting these cars to 460 units is;to link that number of units to the legendary 1980s G-Wagen chassis code, which is W460.
I would like to suggest this to Mercedes:if you like, try and bring back the 6×6 G-Class!😉💪👍It has been years since the last 6×6 W463 was made!

  3. Stonger? My Malaysia G-Wagon is a 300GD LWB Auto W460 manufactured in 1983. Driven in UK from 1984-2013. Now in Malaysia since 2013. We have done some welding and painting. The engine is rebuilt. THe transmission is making some clonk noises. But this is a perfectly serviceable daily driver on the school run. No need to upgrade or replace yet. Maybe will buy a replacement in another 20 years. So see looking forward to searching for this 2025 GW in 2045! We had a 1989 SWB 230GE auto in London – but the 300GD LWB is so much more fun and powerful.

  4. The number 460 was chosen as a direct tribute to the original G-Class model series, the W460, which was first introduced in the 1980s.
The G-Class is a rare example of a vehicle whose core architectural and structural design has remained largely unchanged for over four decades. While the modern G-Class has evolved to include advanced technologies and luxury features, its fundamental body-on-frame construction, three lockable differentials, and high-mounted air intakes are still central to its off-road capability.
It's an interesting case study in automotive engineering, where the focus has been on refining a proven platform rather than starting from scratch. The '80s Edition is a smart nod to this heritage, reminding us that timeless design, like robust engineering, doesn't need to be completely reinvented to remain relevant. It's a testament to the original designers and engineers that the G-Class's form still so effectively follows its function. A true classic.

  5. Help !! I have a 1983 gwagon w460 white 5.doors Which is a heroe as I spent 12 years driving all over Sahara Mauritania saving children lives. I need to sell my belived car , can you help me ? 😢😢 maybe for.the.museum or.for someone who truly loves gwagon.😢

  6. Fantastic, but the original G was an egalitarian and realistically affordable off-road vehicle. This will be a hipster cafe ride due to the price.
And why only 460 (other than referencing the original W460)? A full production at a price point whereby the vehicle will actually be used off road would sell thousands. …just look at INEOS Grenadier, the market for a real off road wagon at a realistic price is huge.
…ps: Why was the G Professional discontinued so fast? Mercedes elitism is killing the G in the real world.

  7. I like the heritage vibes, reminds me of the G250 my Grandfather drove in my childhood. What we really need is Mercedes to release the BR464 2021 military / rescue version for sale to the public!

  8. Mercedes used to be etalon of quality and durability! For years now Mercedes is etalon of poor quality and unreliability! I will buy Mercedes again when it can drive 99% of the time (not 60% of the warranty time in the stealership) till 1 million km like W 124 and W 140 could with original engine and gearbox!!! Today Mercedes and all German manufactures are just a scam!!!

  9. I love it! But I would wish it would have wheels that would look more like at the 1980s wagon and more retro looking mirrors. But still great

  10. Все ребята, ваша песенка спета. Китайцы смотрите что делают, а вы все одно и тоже штампуете корыто
