  1. I grew up riding this line. Classon ave. and Bedford/Nostrand were the 2 stations we could enter until we moved to Manhattan in 1992.
As slow as it was, it was a necessary line in Brooklyn. I hope it works out.

  2. you guys will live. My train line has started doing shut downs and the L is the same walk as it would be for G train riders. Either take the bus to the L or LIC, where there are multiple train lines, and deal with it. Why risk deferring maintenance, which is why the entire subway system is in the current state it's in in the first damn place, to satisfy short term gain?? Let them do the work to install CBTC and whatever other work that needs to be done, and let it be that.

  3. They didn’t care when the A line was closed for like 7 months in Far Rockaway we supposed to care because their white people and Asians get tf outta here

  4. Talking about no one coming to Greenpoint cause no G train. These people will Citi bike, uber, or walk their goofy selves just to stand on a line for an hour. They'll be fine.

  5. To me I don’t think they should do another shutdown because they already done before on the past and the issue is there’s only G train around there no other subway lines unless you walk to the L train at Lorimer street which is far. They should have more service on the G train line instead of closing it because lots of commuters and people use the subway everyday to get to work and places.

  6. Need to be grateful that the G train is still running. As a subway line that doesn't go through Manhattan like the rest it really doesn't make any money. It's the lowest earning train line. The MTA is still a business weather the states or themselves believe it or not.

  9. One reason I doubted about CBTC and signal upgrades for the G is because back in 2025, it really shocked me a lot to see the G train suddenly return to older trains that can’t even handle CBTC like the R46s, R68s, and R68As. I trust the G to have R211s even though I like R160s a bit better on that line.

  10. I live in Manhattan but I visit Greenpoint every once in a while because I enjoy a lot about that area. Especially now that the B62 does not go to Queens Plaza-Long Island City anymore, the G train can help me a lot, But Not If These Shutdowns Keep Happening!
