  1. I heard the bgm and I was like "sound like Halcyon" and guess what, it was.
I remember listening to so many of his piano cover back in the day.
I listen to other music now, and haven't heard his stuff in a while, but I still remember, he was the person who really introduced me to music and I'll be forever grateful for that.

  2. I watched K-on and I love it. I even bought a complete figure set of them with their instruments. But I never knew they're THAT popular in Japan. Thanks for this video🎉

  3. One of the best anime series ever made, and for me it would be the greatest music anime ever if Bocci the Rock didn't exist. It stands up to rewatching as well as any series (in any medium) ever.

    * and my beloved Bocci likely would not exist at all without K-ON.

  4. K-ON! Has taught me how to love full heartedly for the sake of loving, simply the concept of appreciating everything, like what the norm perceives as mundane can be astonishing and beautiful as long as you are open to it.K-ON! is a show that helps you take off your tinted black and white sunglasses and appreciate the world in its various hues.

  5. K-On was the 1st anime that got me into "Otaku culture" and moe stuff.

Before that, my main go was mainstream Shounen, like Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece.
This is when I was in highschool.

One time I watch BECK from my friend recommendation, it was good.
Then I found K-On DVD with cutesy Cover on it, I was curious.

I bought it, when my friend saw me, my reasoning was:
"Hey, I just watched BECK, anime about music, it was cool, so I want to try this one also."

After watching K-On, never again I got Shy when watching anime about Cute Girl Doing Cute Things, and my Anime range became broader, not only watching Shounen from then on.

  6. As a girl-dad who spent a lot of time coaching and volunteering around my daughters, what I loved most about this show was how carefully and realistically the leads were written, directed, animated and performed. They came across not at tropes but as true-to-life people. It seemed like I knew a real life version of each of these characters among my daughters friends and classmates. And the care given to the characters make the situations they go through that much more compelling. On the whole, one of the anime masterpieces.

  7. Peak-on!
Easily the best music anime of all time. The animation is ridicously good for the era (late 2000´s) and the characters are not basic cliches, they feel so human that you can empathize with them. Respect to KyoAni and Naoko Yamada for making this masterpiece

  8. K-On was how I conviced some friends to do an anime cover band. Some songs are very hard for aspiring teenagers but it was fun as hell. We later added songs from the show Nana and even Beck. Then high-school finished and we got out separate ways.
I still do some covers with a band but we do more Opening and endings because that's what the audience knows… and give some coins in the casket afterwards 😅

  9. I was thinking yesterday about k on not being talked about, thank you for making this! I love your bgm edited across the video. This video edited gave 2010 feels. You didn't have to make cry! I miss my life from 10th to 12th yrs of school. I was in High school same as these characters and seeing the movie when I was having my last summer break after my own graduation before entering university teared me up!
Can someone share why season 3 never got animated I mean the university life of these characters?

  11. I agree with almost everything but on the point of fan service I'm a bit more split – most are just bad but especially when they are played in character and sometimes for laughs, they can definitely be a good thing (which is unfortunately maybe 10% of the times anime use fan service)

  12. Awww I'm so glad you made a video on K-on!! Thank you so much! I loooooved loved loved this anime back then, and it's still one of my absolute favourites of all time! I love everything about it, the animation, the music, the characters, the atmosphere, the humour and the melancholy. I remember clearly how much I loved to sing those songs, especially the endings. Such great music, really! <3 Great video!

  13. As a non-Japanese (Indonesian) casual anime fans, it is the first time that i realized that K-On was older than i realized. I thought it was new generation anime from 2016 !!!! Because first time i hear about K-ON was in 2018 in Quora when they compared with Bocchi The Rock, instead it was made in 2009 and peaked before tsunami in 2011. It's been in the same generation as Naruto, Bakugan and Beyblade.
