The Sun gives us endless energy… we only have to figure out how to store it. From mirrors and molten salt to ammonia fuel, here’s how we can bottle star power for later.

Is that rick
“Aw geez Rick, I don’t think we should try and put the sun in a Mountain Dew bottle…”
HIRE THIS MAN AD A CONSTRUCTION WORKER
Plants: Amateurs
Yeah, but how do I get it inside me? I guess, to sterilize the place? I'm not sure why.
The power of the sun is in the palm of my hand
loading sunlight…
Kurzgesagt's bottled sun (Only $999,999.99)
I GOT SUNSHINE IN A BAG
Albert Eindoosh
Ho-oh
"How do you contain the f**** sun?"
-SCP 001 proposal "When day breaks"
So I wonder what if you just consume it would you just already die in an instant from its energy and its contents?
…so basically got out of this you just make ammonia and we have bottled sunlight…?
I pee amonia! That makes me a star maker! let me know if you want a bottle!
Answer: yes, it's called a thermonuclear bomb
b o i l i n g w a t e r
Or, you can just plant a tree.
I got sunshine in my pocket!
This video was brought to you by Ammonia Inc Corporation
Cat pee smells like power.
all this just for a boost to mana regen rate?
Why not mention resevoirs using pumps and turbines? Hydroelectic storage for cities, not batteries and chemical refineries.
This is a terrible idea
Making hydrogen gas by breaking down water and suggesting that as a serious replacement for industrial power production would literally eventually destroy all life on earth through water depletion and is the least recoverable damage we could possibly do to nature
If we switched to this in a major way we WOULD take it that far
It's also incredibly inefficient with the amount of processing we have to do inbetween that would be needing power itself
Water-pump gravity batteries are way more eco friendly than this and also far simpler
This and nuclear power are fantastic! Love it
I thought you meant like can you store the Sun.
Which technically you could. It's just hydrogen and helium. Which is completely storable….. Just not while it's reacting with itself. 😅
Sorry the Sun is warming up, just a second more and…
But technically because pee has ammonia shouldn’t we be able to use the pee ammonia the same way💀
So im pissing star juice?
“We stole the sun , to spite the gods that abandoned us , when they come back to bring all extinction , we are ready”
-Yellowcake
I was expecting like “You would need an extremely large and tough bottle to store the sun” like litteraly bottling the sun
Trees have been storing sun all along. Fire is the sun unwinding itself out of the wood.
But I thought the sun is a deadly laser? :]
Is that rick from rick and morty?
I'm disappointed, I thought they actually meant physically storing a real star.
Why not methane?
Bro solved global warming
Glad to see some attention on season – to – season energy storage technologies!
sand batteries sound easier to use
❤️❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
guess we shouldn't "taste the sun"
So i can literally have sunshine in a bag?
Or methane
“Waba Luba dub dub”
It’s so strange seeing this reel after righting my introductory PhD proposal on basically the same concept.
so if you use ammonia to get hydrogen… couldn't you use waste water to get it too by separating it?
Put the bottle in a bag
sunshine in a bag
What about just pumping a lot of water a lot higher and letting it down lower.
photosyntesis is the original solar power we can just use grains to make energy
I saw this story years ago. thanks for mentioning some of the companies working on it, I'm curious if it ever reaches commercialization
