When I was locked up I pretty much kept to myself and treated everyone with respect and didn't have to say what I was in for haha everyone knew it made it on the news and wasn't anything bad far as inmates view it but didn't have any issues. I'm a military brat so naturally hold myself well but tbh wasn't as bad as the media makes it out to be and only fight I got into was beating up a chomo so everyone liked me after that.
don't you even try to pick up a soap
just earn your respect and stay out of trouble, dont let others see you as a target, even if you get beat up fight back, they'll see you can fight, and that you aren't submissive to abuse
If you can't survive a night in jail, you might wanna reconsider your life choices.

I remember this one story where a prisoner did workout and beaten up the guards it was like a sad story.

the reason barely anyone gets hurt is because these are essentially unsanctioned professionals. which is different from an average joe speeding.
