I Built a SOLAR FREEZER that reaches -48°C ❄️ DIY

I Built a SOLAR FREEZER that reaches -48°C ❄️ DIY

I used the SUN’S HEAT to achieve -48°C of COLD. ☀️🔥🥶
No conventional compressor. Just solar thermal energy and the incredible physics of absorption refrigeration.

  1. Hey man, you should really put in a few warnings for children…

    A pressure release valve.

While this is an amazing idea, Gemini was pretty confident that if I went modifying your design and didn't do something correct, I would essentially be strapping a pipe bomb to the top of my van.

Totally cool for a guy who's smart enough to modify, downscale and multiply instead of trying to increase the mirror or size of the design….

Again, totally cool to me, knowing I will be running various metrics through AI and taking various pressure release hazards into consideration…

But I wish you had that pressure release valve. People do really stupid shit sometimes…

  2. Im surprised how people start saying "This wont work" simply cause its not permanent. This is a DIY project, he never said it was permanent. Stop ruining the comments section and enjoy the science behind it

  3. Compressor, condenser, maybe a receiver/drier, expansion valve, evaporator, back to compressor. You can’t replace the compressor with a tiny ball. Low pressure doesn’t overcome high pressure. Excellent waste of everyone’s time but at least the comments have some usable information.

  4. Will not work for long without a pump to move from low side to high side. Law of thermodynamics cannot be changed. This is kinda like a perpetual motion machine. Works for a bit then doesn't. I give creator a 10 for creativity. However you just need to add a solar powered pump and this could possibly work with a bit of running. To cool the bottle you need to superheat the liquid in the coil to flash and exchange energy.

  5. Exactly, this system will work only for first time untill all the gas of heating chamber get transferred to Evaporation coil. After that, the pressure in the heating chamber and evaporation coil will be equal and no chilling effect would take place.

  7. Hmm, I'm not getting the moment with non-return value. The pressure in the large sun-heated tube and in condenser tube is the same (and high). After the capillary tube the pressure drops. And the pressure in after-capillary tube is the same (low). So we have the situation when on top of the metal ball we have high pressure, and below it we have low pressure. How it is possible that the valve will open and let the gas to return?

  8. I watch attempts like these as Scientific EXPERIMENTS. Remember that Science progresses not by insisting on orthodoxy but by venturing into new ideas that DISPROVE established theories. That is the nature of science.

  9. so why are not using solar like this to cool our houses instead of power from the grid? If you can do that with a small reflector, why not heat the tube with a solar panel? Maybe I am making it too easy

  10. You use the sun's rays to raise the gas pressure in the reservoir, and then immediately drop it using the condenser! That way, there is no longer any gas flow towards the expanser !! but you need more copression to push the gaz.
