The new Viltrox Air lenses for L-Mount are small, incredibly light and ridiculously affordable. I’ve spent the last couple of weeks shooting hundreds of photos and plenty of video with all four: the 14mm f4, 20mm f2.8, 40mm f2.5 and 50mm f2. In this review, I look at what they’re actually like to use on Lumix cameras and whether you really need to spend more.

Do these work with cropless ibis?
Nikon user, just started to migrate to Panasonic.
have a 50mm f2 and a 20mm 2.8 for my Z6ii and they're both pretty great, as you said.
lightweight, cheap, very good performance for the price.
Hope someday Viltrox add some cheap 75/85 f2 or 2.5 to this lineup. That would be great.
Another great video! 🎉🎉 🎉 Thx.
Do you like this 40mm better than LUMIX 40mm f2? If I plan to get sigma 65mm f2 for sigma bf when I want background blur for full person in horizontal frame portrait, is it worth to switch to this Vitrox 50mm f2 or the 40mm, is it enough blur?
Excellent review thanks 😊 ❤
Mate completely off topic. You sound like you have a scouse twang to your accent. Did you spend time in Liverpool?
I would love to see your comparison of the 20mm Viltrox F2.8 with the new 20mm Lumix F2.5. Shane from GNT seems to prefer the bokeh quality and sharpness on the cheaper lens. Great review as always and exciting times for L-mount users!
Could you review the TTartisan 50mm f1.8 neo?
Did you get any sense at IBC as to when the Pro lenses might appear in L Mount?
I was hoping for the 35mm f1.4 from them to hit L mount. Shame 🙁
Does the crop zooming for with them as with the Sigma lenses?
Why not doing a 35mm 🙁
You forgot to add the afiliate links for the lenses!
Crazy good YouTube cover 👌👌
I recently got the 40mm f/2 from lumix and it's such a nice lens, crazy compact and light, very good optically and the f2 is quite a sweet spot ! Maybe you could also compare both of the 40 when you get your 20mm
I have a couple of Viltrox Air lenses for Fuji X mount (25mm and 56mm), and I sold my Fuji 56mm over the Viltrox. So I am definitely looking forward to get these lenses for my S5II (and I like small lenses on the larger S5II). I'm looking forward to your 20mm comparison review!! Thank you Pav, great video and lenses, plus the "Punchy" preset looks fantastic 🙂
They are marvel optically
4:42 Actually for astrophotography many use trackers and lenses stopped down. With big heavy lenses they are hard to keep still with any breeze and I prefer light small primes.
Great roundup video Pav. Interesting options from Viltrox there. I'm considering that 50mm, or the TT Neo one (I like the red ring flares I've seen from that one), although the Lumix S 50mm is pretty cheap on the used market.
Incredible value for $$!! The 20/50 combo on the S9 would be a great travel kit.
I don't understant 40mm f2.5.
I bought the Viltrox 14mm f4 for sony and I used it both on the sony a7rv and zve-1 and used it a lot for architecture in Thailand and Vietnam. It paired very well with the 61mp sensor and as a compact lens is very useful for travel.
How much is Viltrox paying you?!! Are there really no other lens brands out there?!!! Does Viltrox pay you that well??!!
Lumix has some really good lenses—why aren't you praising them?!! Why would I choose Viltrox over Lumix?!! Just because it's cheap?!
