And this is why noone takes most women seriously when it comes to most sports… Just stop and ride your bike stop making it cringe and embarrassing yourself
Move weight forward on saddle and to your preferred side that you always unclip out of (only use one side, don't change it ever..). Unclip a couple of metres before stopping and because your weight is in right place, it'll nicely go down right at the point you stop.
I got my first set of clipless peds 40 years ago, in my 20s. Now I ride with 60+ year-olds who are just getting into the sport. Everyone falls when they start out but the falls hurt A LOT more when you're 60!
I had to laugh at your comments.. This is all my generation did, ride bikes all day.. I’m 58 and still riding 4x a week.. road bikes in the summer and MTB’s in the winter here in SoCal.
You better learn how to change that derailleur hanger yourself because you'll be bending that little piece of chocolate 🍫 a lot as you learn to unclip.
My very first ride clipped in, I fell off at the very first stop, right next to a car. Went knee first into concrete. Big gash, bruised bone, still finished the rest of my ride though…. Sort of.. 1km from home I got a flat rear tyre and no spare tube so had to walk that last 1km… I’m still cycling though and thoroughly enjoying it.
After a decade of doing the stance dance on a motorcycle I can say I haven’t fallen over with clip ins. Can’t say that about my motorcycle riding though 😅
Trick is to start the unclip process before you stop. As you slow down but still moving unclip the foot you are going to put down. Put the other foot at the bottom of the stroke and unweight the saddle. Come to a full stop and lean to your unclipped side and put your foot down. You will fall over at the lights from time to time even after a long time riding clip ins

Clipless pedals are totally unnecessary for a novice rider.
Falling isn't so bad until you dislocate something in your shoulder… 🙁

You never need clipless pedals. Flats are often better and more convenient too.
Cute!! will recreate this video to guys version. see how many likes I got guys… lol
Falling flat on the side at a red light being noobs with first ever auto shoes is not a urban myth nor an unreal manga comical situation. I did it.
Dirty white bike shoes is a sin just FYI
Everyone has fallen over very slowly at a stop sign at least once in their cycling life.
Grass???
Nice! Start practicing your track stand now, so you will rarely have to un-clip😂
You’re doing great! One tip though.. never alter your hearing when riding.
Unclip before you stop
Next bib shorts and chain wax
I'm not brave enough for clip in but I'm putting back on my straps😊
White shoes are faster. That's why you got white shoes. 😂❤❤❤
Once you go clipless you never go back..its like being one with the bike
Very cool. We really need many more girls to take up cycling. Keep it up. Thank you.
white shoes = professional. +12W
