Why did you mention the most expensive ever 🤔 in 2022 wasn’t people buying regular model y’s for $60k $65k?

I'm torn on the second gen Y. I really dislike how the front looks, but the rear looks nice (more so at night). Overall it looks like a Chinese EV.
I own a second gen (2025) Model 3 Premium (LR RWD) and a 2022 Model Y Performance. The build quality and comfort of the Model 3 is on a totally different level from the first gen Model Y, but I like the rawness of the Y Performance. I haven't driven the second gen Y Performance, but I would assume the rawness from the first gen is gone and that is a plus for most buyers- not for me.
The first gen Y Performance looks more muscular and athletic than the second gen Y Performance, but I believe the second gen 3 Performance looks substantially better than the first gen 3 Performance.
If I were looking to buy one of the second gen Performance models right now I'd definitely chose the Model 3 Performance over the Y Performance because of the handling, acceleration, overall sportiness, and appearance. The Model 3 Performance looks the part- The new Y Performance, while capable, looks to be playing a role.
I've got the 2026 Y Performance for 6-month. Worth every penny. Already came with everything you can possibly want Factory installed. Nothing to add. Free lifetime Premium Connectivity to run Grok.
